I woke up feeling very uncomfortable, I could barely open my eyes. I hurt to move and even think. After a good three minutes, I could somewhat focus on my surroundings. My hands were above my head, tied to the bedpost. Once I fully realized the situation, I started to cry. I cried until there were no more tears left to shed. I sat there, helplessly staring at the concrete wall in front of me, waiting for something to happen.

I waited for what seemed like hours when I heard the door unlock and slowly open, revealing three men in masks. I stared at them, terrified, until the one on the right with messy, dirty blonde hair, spoke.

"It's not nice to stare, Valerie." I shivered at his words. They all glared at me and something inside me forced me to speak.

"What do you want from me?" I asked, still groggy. "You are in a basement, duh?" The one on the left said sarcastically. The middle man slapped the back of his head and gave him a death glare. "Ow." He whined. "Leave. Both of you." The middle man said. His voice was smooth, but cold at the same time. Both of the men turned and left me all alone with this man wearing a mask. He took off his mask and what I saw surprised me. He had jet black, deep blue eyes, a triangular jawline, and his body structure was so muscular that it seemed impossible to take him down. But the thing that stood out to me the most, was the scar running down his left eye, down to the top of the cheek. I was frozen in place when he examined me head to toe. I felt so vulnerable just laying there not being able to move.

He started to walk up to me and I started to tremble with fear. I struggled against the handcuffs, holding me in place when he sat on the edge of the bed. "Wow, you're not as weak as I thought you'd be." He chuckled. I turned my head away from him, but that seemed to make him angry. He took my chin and forced me to look at him. I tried to scowl at him, but I doubt that worked in my favor. "What do you want from me?" I asked. "You see, your father and I are...hmmm.. What's the word? Rivals. He's been killing off my people for decades. I decided if he was gonna take people from me, then I'll take the thing that matters most to him. His little princess." He smirked. I felt tears linger in my eyes when he said that. It shocked me when he started unlocking my handcuffs. He pulled out something from his back pocket and when my eyes focused on it, I started to squirm. He held my wrists in a tight grasp that I couldn't escape. He pinched something in my neck and I was dozing off. "Goodnight, princess." He smiled.
