Mafiatale Sans x Valkyrie!Reader

"See you soon, Y/N," and you felt a dart hit your wrist, causing you to pass out.

~Time skip~

You woke up, tied to a chair, your sword against the far wall. You struggled to break free, regardless of your immense strength. As you barely cut one rope, the one and only Undyne comes into the room.

"You're the Valkyrie punk on the hunt for me? I would have thought you were something different," She said, passing around you. "Why are you after me?"

"I wouldn't tell a soul," you say.

"You sure about that, punk? Sans did a pretty good job of taking you down. You sure you're a Valkyrie?"

"I know I am," you hiss through your teeth.

"Liar," she growled, slapping you. Her hit didn't leave a mark on your skin.

"Go on then. Torture me. Bring me to the verge of death and back, I am a Valkyrie," you say confidently.  Undyne leaves in silence, leaving you to work on escaping.

~Time skip~

You had been in the monster mafia for almost two months now, and hadn't broken yet. Undyne had stabbed you with her spears, but a female dino (Who stated she was Undyne's girlfriend) by the name of Alphys patched you up every time. One day after she had left, Sans came back in.

"Hello again," he says. You ignore him, keeping an eye on your sword. "Listen kid, I'm gonna make a deal with you. You can give us the reason you were hunting Undyne and we let you stay with us as part of out mafia, or we get the info by force and kill you,"

"I don't care what you do. just so you know, I won't ever tell anyone," you say.

"You've made your choice, kiddo. Don't say I didn't warn ya," he turned towards the door, slow enough to make you genuinely feel scared. Suddenly, he turned around and kissed you. You were shocked, but kissed back anyway. He was hot for a skeleton, and you had grown a crush on him ever since you saw him while spying.

He pulled away, annoying you slightly. You were blushing internally though, having control of your blush. Sans smiled, and walked to the other side of the room. To your sword.

"L-LEAVE IT ALONE!" you screamed. You knew the sword was indestructible, but it had been in your family for ages. Sans turned to face you.

"Leave it alone? Why?" he asked, grabbing the hilt of the sword.

"I-its the only thing I have...o-of...of h-her..." you look to the floor, memories of your mum cloud your thoughts.

"Of who?" Sans pulls up an extra chair, sitting beside you.

"M-my mum...she..." you couldn't bring yourself to speak.

"Its alright, I get it. I've lost someone I cared about too," he hugs you, and although you can't hug back, you lean into him. "How about the deal, kid? You wanna stay with us? After you tell why you were after Undyne,"

"It was my next job. And there was rumours she killed my mum, so..." you went silent, but Sans understood. "And yeah, I'll stay here. Be a part of this mafia. The people in my mafia...aren't Valkyrie. A few racist comments here and there, but after this mission I wasn't gonna go back,"

"So that's settled then," he said, untying the ropes with a single pull. You stood up, stretching and rubbing the marks on your arms from the rope.

"And Sans?"

"Yeah kid?"

"Did you...mean it with...the kiss?" you ask. This time you blush really hard.

"Maybe. But for now, come with me. We gotta have Asgore see you first,"

~time skip~

You had been with the monster mafia for a year now, and it felt more like a family. You loved it here. Sans had also confessed to you, and you were now boyfriend and girlfriend. Right now, you were laying in bed, staring at the roof. You had been tired lately, especially with back-to-back jobs. You had gone a full month without a break, and were exhausted.

"Y/N? Y/N Asgore has another assignment for yo-" Sans wandered into yours and his shared room, and found you fast asleep. He chuckled, crawling beside you. He wrapped an arm around your waist, kissing your neck. You tried hard not to  giggle.

"Ok sans, I'm awake," you roll over to face him, showing your dark eyes from lack of sleep.

"Sweetheart, have you been getting much sleep lately?" he asks, his expression a strong one of concern. You shake your head, silent. "Why?"

"I wonder...does back-to-back jobs for a month with no rest sound good to you?" you ask, growling.

"That's what Asgore's making you do? Sweetheart, you should have told me," he hugs you, and you begin to fall asleep in his hold.

"Can you take care of my next job? I need the rest," you say, closing your eyes.

"Sure," he says. "but for now, sleep. I'm here, and I'll let you relax for a while," you cling to him, happy with this response. He hugs you back, and you both fall asleep in each other's arms.
