Lucifer cleared his throat and frowned at the beeping sound that had been continuing for what seemed like hours, but had only been a few minutes. "Brendon, what is that?" he asked, feeling slightly embarrassed that he was clueless about it. After all, he had ruled Lerridon for six years. This beeping had never happened.

Brendon smirked to himself at the teenage boy's embarrassment. "Someone has done something illegal, my lord."

"What... what have they done?" he asked sheepishly, feeling quite useless.

"I'm sure you can check that on your kyoter," Brendon said in a condescending tone. His gaze shifted to the window, where the sun was blazing oh so brightly. His eyes flicked up in a sign of iritation.

Sometimes, I wonder why I haven't fired him yet, Lucifer thought. He glared at Brendon for a moment before turning to his kyoter. He had noticed that little act of defiance, despite Brendon's attempt to cover it up.

Even though he wouldn't admit, Lucifer didn't want to get rid of Brendon. After three years of politeness and manners, his true personality began to show. He was quite obviously not as scared of Lucifer anymore. And by that time, Lucifer had gotten used to that annoying brunet by his side for the entire day, of course, except when he slept or went to the bathroom. How creepy would that be? Imagine him watching Lucifer as he slept... Alright, let's not get off track...

Fast forward another three years of tolerance of Brendon, and Lucifer could not fire him. If there's one thing you need to know about him, it would be this: Lucifer Cast is terribly afraid of change.

Rebecca looked at her like she had grown a third ear. Beetle laughed.

"You should see the cities," he said proudly.

Phoebe stood there, in awe. From what she could tell from behind the large concrete building blocking her view, the town consisted of tall buildings made entirely from glass. The glass reflected everything, forming rainbows just about everywhere.

Phoebe staggered, not paying attention to the ground, and entered the concrete building. There were two men standing by the doors, staring hard at Phoebe as she walked in. They towered over her, casting shadows on her small figure.

Rebecca waited for Phoebe while Beetle continued towards the door on the left. The small room was painted white and relatively empty except for a drawin by the side.

Rebecca reached into the small pocket at the side of Phoebe's bag and pulled out a small booklet. It's cover was made of green leather, and it was around the size of Phoebe's palm. Rebecca put the booklet into Phoebe's hands and whispered, "Pass this to the guard when he asks for your pass."

With that, Rebecca went through the door confidently. Phoebe took one last look behind her, to find that the guards had completely ignored them, and remained stiff and silent in their original positions. Deciding not to be a troublemaker, Phoebe went through the door.

On the other side, was a larger room than before. Around seven metres away from where Phoebe was standing, there was a row fifteen metal boxes. In between each metal box, there was a glass sheet. And behind each box there was a guard stationed there, infront of a platform the same size as the metal box.

There were only three others other than Beetle, Rebecca, and Phoebe herself. She spotted Beetle by platform number 3, retreiving a bag that look liked his. Rebecca was at metal box number 4, putting her bag in the metal box.

The glass sheet she was standing infront of flickered, than disappeared. Phoebe took a few steps forward to Rebecca. Rebecca walked through where the glass sheet was. Phoebe took another few steps. Rebecca stopped infront of the guard. Phoebe's hands grew sweaty as she gripped onto her pass. Rebecca handed her own green booklet to the guard. Phoebe fastened her pace.  Something felt wrong, very wrong.

Phoebe walked calmly to metal box 5. She removed her bag, and placed it in the box. There was a faint sucking, then a tumbling sound. The glass sheet disappeared from view. Phoebe walked across the line on the floor, which indicated where the glass sheet was meant to go. Her palms were profusely swearing. She passed her pass from one hand to the other, trying to rid it of her sweat.

The man sitting behind the box looked up at her from behind the counter. His alarming clear blue eyes startled her. No, she must have been imagining things. Lucifer's eyes were a different blue. She swallowed the lump in her throat, and placed the pass on the counter. She slid it across.

The door behind her opened, and Phoebe turned around in her usual curiosity. A tall and slender woman dressed in the same guard uniform walked briskly towards her. Her eyes were fixed on Phoebe. Phoebe's breath hitched. She glanced at the man urgently. He seemed to be taking as much time as possible. Either that, or time had slowed down.

The woman continued making her way to Phoebe. The feeling had came back, and Phoebe's palms were sweaty again.

"You there, blonde girl with spectacles, stop," the woman raised her arm, and pointed at Phoebe in a final moment of dread.

On instinct, Phoebe grasped at the pass the man had slowly placed on the counter, turned, and ran.
