It took two hours. The process of filling in the needed paperwork as well as getting the heavy cage into the trunk of Yoongi's car. Even though neither him nor the catchers were weak, it was still a struggle for them to get the metallic cage into the trunk. Yoongi scoffed, maybe they should reconsider their fucking cages if they were going to be so hard to move! He felt unreasonably annoyed at the  situation. The whole ordeal had taken much longer than Yoongi had planned, and he felt himself sighing as he looked at the time. It was still not more than 1 PM, but he had hoped to have as much time as possible to let the hybrid get used to his new living situation.

The hybrid was still sleeping due to the tranquilizers they had given him earlier, another thing that ruined his plan to let the other adapt as quickly and smoothly as possible. Yoongi felt his grip tighten around the steering wheel at the thought. When he thought about it, the store made a bit of an unsettling feeling weigh in his stomach. He knew he shouldn't have purchased anything from it. The entire store was sketchy as all hell and didn't fit at all to the requirements of a pet store. He should have reported it as soon as he walked inside. But he hadn't.... Because even if they broke with the animal preservation requirements, he couldn't help but to feel a little intrigued by the small shop. Another reason why he hadn't reported it was because he hadn't been there on duty as an officer, rather he tended to turn his inner cop off in his free time. He had just been a man on a mission, a mission to possibly get a dog that would keep him company. A mission which he was now realizing that he had failed miserably. Not only had he ended up buying something from a borderline legal store, but he hadn't even purchased the dog he came there for! Instead, he had somehow purchased a dog hybrid.

He sighed lightly, softening his grip again. It could have been worse, he told himself reassuringly. This shop was already better than many of the ones he had been in before on duty. There had many times been pet stores and shelters that had to be completely shut down due to mistreating of the animals or poor conditions. Though this place hadn't really been anything to brag about either, they had potential, if they made a few rearrangements there would be no need to shut the store down. One thing that did bother him though, was what the cashier had said about the catchers. He bit his lip at the thought.

Yes, animals roaming in the streets without an owner was an issue and it was good that the store had a measure to protect these animals, but hybrids? Hybrids were like humans. They could think logically and be independent to a much further degree than dogs could. Catchers catching a hybrid? Humans catching someone who was part human? It didn't settle well in his mind.

A weak whimper from the hybrid in the trunk forced him out of his thoughts. Was he awake? He questioned, trying to get a look through the rear mirror, but he couldn't see anything. He hoped the other wasn't injured. Then again, the girl had mentioned that he had been found next to the highway. If he was a hybrid, he should have enough sense to know not to walk next to traffic, but it made more sense for him to do that if he was injured and wanted help. Wanted to be seen. The girl had also said he had put up a fight, enough to have to be tranquilized, which could mean that he was injured enough for his animal instincts to take over. Yoongi gulped, speeding up a little, but making sure to still drive legally and safely. He was a cop after all, he had to set a good example.

After driving for another half an hour, the car finally came to a stop in the parking lot in front of his mansion. He quickly walked to open the cage, deeming it much easier to just carry the other, than struggling with the heavy cage. It seemed like the hybrid was still sleeping soundly, and Yoongi wasn't sure if he was relieved or worried about that fact. After he opened the cage, he leaned in to get a closer look at the hybrid and checked for any visible injuries that needed urgent treatment. There were a few bleeding scratches covering his face as well as a layer of dirt. He had tan skin, and his hair was brown with tints of gray to them. There was a small hatch in his right ear, but that seemed like it had already been there for a long enough time to scar and was most likely not a recently inflicted wound.  Since he saw no more injuries and was not planning on disrupting the other man's privacy by removing his shirt to check, Yoongi deemed that it would be safe to carry him inside without risking further physical harm. He wasn't sure if he could say the same about the mental aspect. Then again, who wouldn't panic if they suddenly woke up in a stranger's home only to find out that they were his property. Yoongi sighed. What the fuck had he done? He really had to purchase the one hybrid that couldn't verbally consent? He shook his head. This was most definitely a crime.
