So I was thinking while I was playing Pokémon Moon, when you reset your game, there is no going back and you have literally wiped the data off of your console.
But then I remembered in some particular games, the characters "remember" the previous gameplays such as 707 or Monika.
So I was thinking, Hau cried when Lillie left for Kanto. But what would happen if the MC left him as well? Being the cheerful and happy child he is, something has to be hiding behind that right?
So this is an AU where when the player resets the game or deletes it, Hau still remembers what exactly happened. But then the game resets, only bits and pieces of his previous memories are left. When the next gameplay starts, Hau can only remember bits and pieces until the new MC comes along from Kanto to Alola.
He remembers it all when he sees him/her. Sometimes he can even let slip; breaking the fourth wall.
