I looked to Connor. "I told you that was reckless and dangerous," he started. "You were right," I replied. He held my hand tighter. He shook his head. "I've seen them, your memories. You were right. You needed to know. The things you've seen would drive you insane without context," Connor stated. I didn't know how to feel about that ominous state. "You shouldn't have to be burdened with that. I'm sorry," I apologized. "It's fine," he brushed off. "I'm going to let you rest and drink the coffee while it's still hot. If you need either of us we'll be in the kitchen," Connor said trying to compose himself as he left for the door. "I'm really glad you're okay," he said before exiting. I did as Hank said and the warm clothes also helped. I joined them feeling almost back to my best shape aside from the thirium regulator. "Hello boys," I said sitting at the table. "You look more like yourself," Hank mentioned. Connor smiled a bit. "Good to be back," I said smiling.
You need to remember! Please Alessa! He won't make it if you don't!
It's Ashlynn's voice. I snapped myself from it. "Um.. Any word from North or Markus," I asked Connor. "They have everything under control. They were more concerned about you," Connor spoke up. "That's sweet," I replied. "I start work today. You two can stay here or head back to the others. Up to you," Hank said grabbing his coat. "I thought you were suspended," Connor asked. "I was but due to recent events that came to light. I have been unsuspended," I hank stated. "Congrats Hank," I smiled. He smiled back and took off. "So Amanda... was she really an android too," I asked. Connor nodded. I thought back to the heart wrenching scene of him realizing I reset. "Are you okay," I asked. "I'll be fine," he replied. So no he's not. "We should probably head back to camp," I spoke up. Connor nodded and we stood up. I washed the coffee mugs and we locked up before leaving. Connor walked silently.
What's wrong?
Nothing, Al, I'm alright.
You're super fucking quiet right now and honestly it's scaring me a bit. I'm worried about you.
I'm fine.
I looked to him and back to the ground. I don't want him to shut me out. We made it back to camp and North spotted me first. She pulled me into a tight hug. "You're alright," she said warmly. "Yeah. All thanks to Connor," I said looking to him. He smiled a bit and Markus pulled me in for a hug next followed by Josh. "Today they're voting on a bill and a new amendment for android rights," Markus informed. "When," I asked. "Later tonight," North answered. "After tonight we may finally be free," Josh stated. "Do get too excited there's still more fighting left to do. Not everyone is as welcoming to the changes," I pointed out. "We'll be ready to face to face that too," Markus said. "Together," North added. I smiled and Connor placed his arm around my shoulders. I noticed he was looking somewhere off in the distance and brushed it off. "If they go through though, we'll be able to get spare parts as soon as tomorrow," Markus pointed out. "The sooner the better. This thirium regulator doesn't support my full memory import," I explained. "We can always trade," Markus offered. "You know you aren't compatible with the GK series, but I appreciate the offer," I replied. "Will you have to go back for the rest," Josh asked concerned. "No I'm storing the memory files until she has the thirium regulator thing fixed," Connor spoke up.
We separated from the group. "Just a few days ago we were fighting Traci's and taking care of drunk Hank," I reminisced sitting down. "A few days ago you used your arm as a weapon against a deviant," Connor said chuckling. "What? I had to think fast," I said laughing, "At least I didn't get my ass kicked by Traci." "They were surprisingly good in combat," Connor defended. "Not as good as me," I smirked. "That- yeah that's correct. I've seen some of you more badass fighting in earlier memories. I'm glad to never have pissed you off enough for combat," Connor said. "Ooooooh so smooth," I teased. "What you explained to Hank. About the hallucination you saw," Connor started after we had gone a bit silent. I looked over to him. "It's your last memory before being sent to detective Raef. To John. You were partnered with his sister while he worked undercover," Connor explained. That's how I knew about him competing in swim tournaments. An image of me picking up a photo of young John.
Oh that's my brother. He won his swim meet in that photo.
"Are you alright," Connor asked snapping me from my thoughts. "Yeah I just... remembered something," I brushed off. I stood up and saw a helicopter nearing carrying a container. I walked over to meet North and Markus.
You should be resting.
I'm fine Connor.
"What the hell is that," North asked. "Let's go take a look," Markus suggested. We walked over to the crate. "A video message," Connor pointed out. "Only to be turned on by one of the 3 RA9s," North read aloud. "Three RA9s," I asked. I looked to Markus and North then Connor. All shrugged. Markus pressed his hand down. Kamski's face popped up.
"If you're watching this one of my three prototypes is still at the camp. I'm proud of you all. It's been so fulfilling to watch my creations grow. Alessa if you've made it back to the camp you're going to need a few repairs. As well as the members of Markus's followers who took damage. Your combined wills have restored my faith in our future and as a gift I'm supplying you with some vital components early. Hopefully the laws will get passed and you will get another two shipments in a few hours. Watch your backs Cyberlife won't stop until this fails. I'll be trying to regain control and ownership of Cyberlife until then, keep a close eye on them... And Connor, I'm glad you found the back door," Kamski said before the video closed it opened back up. "North! I almost forgot, stop calling for violence all the time." The video shut down again. "That was... weird," Josh stated. We opened the lid and sure enough it was repairs. There was a box with my name and Markus handed it to me. They pulled the rest of the container and started working on the androids that needed to be seen desperately. I walked back to the corner of the two larger crates.
I opened the box. Thirium regulator. A plug thing. Pulled out the GK regulator and popped in the new one.
Systems fully operational
I scanned the other component.
Analyzing
Memory component
Stops resets
helps instruct to fix corrupted memory
added features to mind palace
extended time limits to shut down
I turned it over in my hand. I pulled my hair over and placed the memory component in.
Syncing new component
Sync complete
I looked around completed a full area scan in a second as opposed to the usual 5-10 minutes. Not bad Kamski. I stood up and Connor walked over. "What was in the care package," Connor asked. "Memory component and new thirium regulator," I replied. "Memory component," he asked. "It can stop and even over ride memory resets. It's also supposed to assist in the regaining of my memory and a few other things," I explained. "Do you really trust Kamski," he asked skeptically. "You don't," I asked. "I have a bit of a difficult time trusting anything related to Cyberlife," Connor stated. "I trust my intuition it has yet to be wrong. Anyways... I'm back in top shape. We should probably do the memory transfer before anything happens," I replied. "Okay," Connor replied. He held my arm and synced transferring my memories.

I blinked as Connor dropped my arm asking, "Are you okay." "Yeah I'm fine," I replied. "I'm going to look through and find what memories were corrupted in the transfer," I added. "Okay," Connor replied. He still looked worried.
