Help Me

I looked at the water scared to jump in. If I'm being completely honest, I've never learned how to swim.

I know it's stupid and I totally agree but it's just I've always been afraid.

Being out in the ocean it contains many deep sea creatures or let me be more precise killer animals.

Like what if a shark comes out of no where and bites my arm off.

Like in the movie Soul Surfer. What if I drown and can't breathe.

Everyone would be sure to laugh at me. I know Kathy especially wouldn't help.

Even though that's her job. Everyone began to pile on top of one another.

Two-bit then came by my side and asked, "Are you coming?"

We all got changed after lunch in our swimming trunks and bikinis.

Dally even brought him and Johnny surfboards. It looked dangerous.

I looked up to see that Two-bit was still waiting for an answer.

Still shaking, I said to him, "Give me a minute okay."

He nodded his head but swam away from me into the deep end where you couldn't reach the bottom.

Just then, Kathy showed up behind me in a red bathing suit.

She said, "If you don't know how to swim then I wouldn't advise it."

I asked her, "What are you doing here?"

She then answered rudely, "Hello, Mrs. Donaway put me in charge of your group every day which means I'm also the lifeguard."

She climbed up to her post on the very top and sat there putting her sunglasses on.

I muttered, "Yeah right, you just came to see Two-bit."

She then said, "Maybe so, but why do you care?"

I didn't even feel the need to reply. I calmly just walked away.

The sun was really hot, so I decided to give myself a tan.

My skin really needed it and plus who really wants to go swimming?

It's basically going towards your death and no thanks.

I looked at them all surfboarding, splashing each other, and having fun.

Two-bit kept looking over at me concerned, but I didn't even look up.

I turned over with my head down on the towel as I let my back get a tan.

It felt really nice until this person comes over, grabs me, lifts me over their shoulder, and throws me in the water.

Laughter filled the air as I noticed it was Two-bit.

I can't swim!

I coughed up water so much water as I tried to stay up instead of down.

Their laughing dialed down as they realized what was happening.

Darry looked at Kathy and said, "Lifeguard help."

But all she did was flash them this crimson grin and act like she didn't even see me.

I then felt strong arms come down and hug my waist. I opened my eyes.

It was again Two-bit.

He pulled me up to the sand shore as I began to cough up even more water.

He asked me, "You-you can't swim?"

My hair was wet, my bikini was wet, and worst of all I was wet.
