"Can I come along dad? Please?!" I ask my father, clinging onto his arm. Thorin isn't my real father but he feels like one. "No Elene, it's far too dangerous." He says shrugging off my arm and returning to packing his bags to go to the Shire. Without me. "You can't do this!" I argue, trying to let him see my point of view. "Watch me." He says with a stern voice, I know I have to drop the subject or he'll practically kill me.
I take a quick look out of the window, making sure he's gone. When he's out of view I make my way towards Kili and Fili's tent.
"Guys! Plan B is a go!" "Are you sure you want to do this Elene? He'll be furious!" Fili says, trying to get me to see sense, but I made up my mind.
"I want to see the lonely mountain. So yes I'm going with you guys." Fili looks worried, Kili just smiles. "Okay, but for the two of you please remember that I'm here, so keep it calm." "Oh Fili you're practically saying that we should break up!" I say mockingly, "Please Fili, we promise to do nothing whilst you're look." Says Kili with a grin.
"Okay. But we should leave now, Thorin is taking a detour so we have to make haste to be there before him."
