The next morning
Caitlin's Pov
My eyes immediately open by the shock of Rachel coming into my room and jumping on my bed.

"It's time to get up Caitlin!" She basically yells.

I turn my head to my nightstand and the clock reads '6:00'

"Don't you want to sleep? It's really early for you......and me." I say trailing off at the end.

"I'm not tired. Come on Caitlin!" She says grabbing my hand attempting to pull me out of bed.

"Well, I'm tired." I say with my face still buried in a pillow.

"If you're gonna be my adoptive mom then you have to get used to some things, like me waking up early."

"Or you get used to sleeping in." I throw back.

She flops down on my stomach and I roll my eyes.

"I'm not moving until you get up."

"Fine, you win."

She gets off of me and I drag myself out of bed.

"Why do you even want me up?" I ask still half asleep.

"I'm bored."

"You dragged me out of bed this early because you're bored?"

"Yes! I have nothing to do."

I shrug and take a deep breath. I guess I'm not used to this whole mother thing yet.

"What do you want to do then?" I ask her.

"I want to set up my room."

"There's not gonna be any stores open this early, sweetie."

"We eat, get dressed and then leave."

I kinda hate her ability to figure out things and add logic.

"Okay, it's a plan then."

"Yay!" She says with putting her hands in the air.

"What do you want to eat then?"

"Cereal."

I grab some bowls and milk. I make us both some cereal and we sit on the couch to eat.

"How are you going to decorate?" I ask her.

"I want it to be pink. I want it to have princesses like at my moms house...my old mom." She says looking down. My heart shatters and I feel horrible for her.

"She doesn't have to be your old mom. She is and always will be you mom. I'm just Caitlin and you can call me Caitlin."

"But you feel like a mom."

"You can call me that if you want."

"You're not my mom, Caitlin."

"Yeah, okay." I say slightly disappointed.

"But you can be my mother."

"Isn't that the same thing?"

"They are but for me they mean something different."

I smile just looking at her. I wanted to be her mother and now I finally am.

"Okay. I'll be your mother then." I smile.

"Can we go now." She says becoming extremely excited.

"Sure. We can get ready and have a girls day."

She sets down her dish on the coffee table and I take the dishes and put them in the sink before also getting ready.

When I finish getting ready I see her in the small living room holding up a pair of shoes.
