Chapter II

Third Person Point of View

Nishikata had passed out due to exhaustion from staying up all night the previous night from watching a popular anime series known as '100% Unrequited Love'. The brunette was startled by his loud thud. Nishikata was lying on the floor sleeping. She quickly places her cell phone on the counter and rushes to Nishikata's aid.

'Is he my dorm mate?' she thought as she tried to lift him up but she couldn't.

She then sighs. 'Maybe water will wake him' she thought as she walked towards the faucet. She then grabs a cup and fills it with water. Nishikata is currently in a dream which was a flashback of what happened earlier that day.

Nishikata's Dream

Nishikata's Point of View

I had made my way over to the seat the teacher Komoe-Sensei had assigned me which was next to a brown haired girl named Takagi. As I made my way over to the desk, she then looked me deep in the eyes. I returned her gaze and we were staring at each other for a while. My pace then slowed down. The world seemed to move slow around me as we were locked in each other's eye contact. She then breaks the eye contact and looks down. "Look out Jōzu-kun!" she said causing me to snap back to reality.

My foot then got caught on a desk leg causing me to trip. I winced in pain as I landed flat on my stomach. The classroom erupted with laughter and a lot of the girls were asking was I okay. I felt my face turn red from embarrassment. I then got back on my feet and swiftly sat in my chair. For the next thirty minutes, Komoe-Sensei reviewed about what we'll go over this year and asking how much we already know in certain subjects of literature.

During that time, me and Takagi glanced at each other from time and time again. When she caught me staring at her, I blushed. She giggled and shook her head at me. Suddenly I feel a wet sensation.

'Wait how come I'm so wet yet I'm still dry.... Is this a dream??' I thought as I flickered open my eyes.

Back to Reality

Third Person Point of View

Nishikata had opened his eyes and his eyes met a pair of brown eyes, the same ones he had met previously. "It's you" Nishikata said as he sat up. Their faces were now inches apart. Nishikata realized this and tried to keep his blush under control. "..." she stayed quiet but instead smiled.

It was then a moment of awkward silence. Just the two of them sitting in the hallway staring each other in the eyes. She then interrupts it. "Jōzu-kun" she starts. "Yes" he replies. "Can I call you Nishikata-kun?" she asks. "U-um... only if I can call you Takagi-chan" he proposed. "Okay! Deal!" she said with a smile. Nishikata was utterly captivated with this girl.

'She's so... Pretty when she smiles...' he thought as he could no longer contain his blush. Takagi then exams his face. "Hey you're getting kinda red over there. Are you sick?" asks Takagi. "Ehh!? I am!?!" Nishikata says turning a shade darker. She then places her hand on Nishikata's forehead and he wasn't running any kind of high temperature. She then has an assumption. "Nishikata-kun.... Are you blushing" she says smiling.

"Gyahhh! I am!?! How'd she know!?! Dammit!?!" He stated as he realized he just read his thoughts out loud. "Hee-hee! Cute..." she says smiling. Beads of sweat were now forming on Nishikata's neck. He then gets up and jogs to his room startling her. He then shuts the door. He places his hand on his chest and feels his heart racing.

'Beautiful...' he thought. He then looks around his empty room and it hit him. "Gyahhh..." he said aloud as he realized he has no clothes, bed, food or water. He only has 1'000 yen which he was saving for school fees. He then walks back out of the room. "Um.... Takagi-chan?" he says. She then peeks out of her room. "Yes?" she says looking him in the eyes. "Do you have some food I can ah.... have some of?" he stated blushing and looking away. "Of course! We have to share supply of food anyways hee-hee!" she chuckles. "Oh" he replied. "Also do you have 15000 yen?" Nishikata questioned. "Yes why?" she replied. "I ahh... need a couple of outfits I can sleep in.... Can I go buy me some clothing with it?" Nishikata said as he bowed his head. "Mhm, but under one condition" she replies. "What is the condition?" he states. "Can I come with you" she states smiling. "Umm.. sure!" he replied blushing. "Yay!" she replied happily. "Lemme change first Nishikata-kun" she says as she closes the door. He then hears some rustling and a couple bumps and thumps. She then comes out with a pink shirt, and blue denim shorts. She was wearing pink sandals and had a pink flower like barrette on the left side of her head. A blush instantly crept up Nishikata's face. "Umm... why are you wearing a this? Don't we have to wear school uniform?" he said staring at her feet. "Because after school hours, it's not mandated to wear school uniform" she replies smiling. "Good point" he replied as he then started walking down the hallway.
