Chapter 1- new partner

Y/n grips the paper looking at the paper re reading it over and over.

Dreading the pages before her.

She's been working here since 2028.

And in those 18 years you have never saw something this tragic.

In just two days there had been more then 14 cases involving Androids killing their owners and reports them also being killed.

Y/n furrowed her eye brows how could they arrest and kill a person who killed another person who had red blood?

But vise versa they hardly bat an eye at them for killing a person with blue?

What's the difference of Red and blue blood?

Aren't we the same?

She sighs looking skipping onto the next page.

The most recent case is a man who been found dead after weeks.

Her and Hank are supposed to investigate it tonight.

She began to become agitated with work and plus the crime scene, it's so much she would pull her hair out if she could.

"Hey Y/n" She looks up to see her Partner Hank giving her a small smile.

She stares back at the paper looking at them intensely no distractions she thought.

"Hey don't ignore me like an ass what's up?"

That's so hank.

She gives out a small laugh looking up at Hank.

"all these cases are biting me in the ass, today was supposed to be my day off and captain Fowler just had to call me to work when I was pulling an all nighter".

Hank grins "So? just drink some five hour energy and you'll be fine in no time.

plus speaking of that dick he wants us to go to his office"

Y/n get up looking at him "what did you do this time?" He rolls his eyes " nothing now let's go".

She groaned following him, The captain always has high expectations for her cause of Hank's actions and behavior.

She looks up to him considering her father had left her at a young age.

So whenever he calls them over.

It's cause Hank messes up and the look he gives her makes her feel guilty wanting to do better.

The two walk in and see him sitting in his chair his hands and posture in a calm position.

"Lieutenant Anderson, Detective L/n nice meeting you too again".

he looks over at me " what happened is there something wrong" She questions looking with curiosity.

She could visually feel sweat dripping from her forehead.

Captain Fowler sighs looking at her sadly.

Please don't tell me he's gonna fire me!!

It was silent for awhile i wanted to do some but Hank shakes his head and spoke up before she could respond.

"why are we just fucking standing here can you tell us why you brought us here?".

The Captain looks at Hank sternly.

" You will not be partners with Y/n any longer".

Her and Hank's blood dropped.

They had each other's back and now here is the captain telling them the most heartbreaking thing ever.

Y/n and Hank looked at each other shocked.

"WHAT" they both yell.

"You can't do that me and Y/n have been partners for more then a decade you can't just-".

The Captain interrupted him quickly.

"Cyberlife just brought in their newest model and I think it would be a good compatible partner with Y/n due to her preformance over the years"

Hank steps closer to the Captain.

"so you think a TIN CAN is a better partner then me?!"

Hank says enraged knowing Y/n the history of partners and friends getting cut off cause a dumb machine.

"Yes Hank now leave" The Captain said firmly.

He didn't need to be told twice he left the room without another word.

She watches as he leaves looking at him sadly as her ex partner and best friend leaves her alone with the Captain.

He rubs his temple in mild discomfort.

He looked up with a reassuring "everything is ok" smile.

"Y/n this will be your new partner".

Extending his finger he points to a person in the corner who she hasn't noticed before.

It was a man with smooth pale skin with brown hair and eyes but the thing that freaked her out was his eyes.

Lifeless and cold with no feeling in him.

She was mad but for the circumstance that Hank can no longer be your partner.

But this man did nothing to do with this it was out of his hands as it was for me and hank.

She slowly walks up giving him a smile.

"hi my name is Y/n what's yours?".

He stared at me "Connor as you know I was went here from Cyberlife". I nod and give him a handshake.

"well it's great that your here don't try and hurt yourself" I say jokingly.

He returns a smile "I'll try not to".

Acquaintance

" cool! well let me show you around".

She moved her hand to gesture to follow and that's what he did.

She gave a slight frown knowing he's a robot and can't do anything.

Besides following orders, they don't have a mind of there own.

She showed him everywhere and a few people gave her looks but that wasn't her concern.

This is 2038 people stop shaming a person for talking to a machine without abusing it!

I show Connor my desk on one side was Hank's and the other was well empty.

"there is one here next to me if you want you can have it".

She smile at him she's known for being nice to others even when the world wasn't kind to her.

"Yes Thank you Detective L/n" he was about to move when a few officers about the age of twenty
Walked over.

"hey Y/n just heard your partner with a peice of plastic!" Glaring at Connor.

Another chimed in "yeah isn't that embarrassing I mean atleast that drunk Hank was human can't believe you sunk si low".

I remained quite not going to speak even if it hurt more then ever.
