I decided on making something quick and easy for dinner. Macaroni and cheese with hamburger mixed in. I started to make it around 6:10, it would only take about 15 minutes to make and dad would be home around the time it would be done.

After I get done cooking the hamburger and the macaroni and cheese I mix them together, then put the pan on the burner on low heat. I get out plates and silverware for dinner and my dad comes walking through the front door. "Hello, Winnie, dinner looks and smells good."

"Hey dad, can you go get Deana up? She's had a rough day today just to warn you." I tell him and he heads down the hallway towards our rooms. "Don't forget to wash your hands."

I set the plates and silverware down on the table and get everyone a glass of water. I walk over to the sink and wash my hands. Grabbing the soap I lather it on my hands and rub them together. I stick my hands under the facet and watch as the soap falls of my hands making its way to the drain at the bottom of the sink. Shutting off the water I grab the kitchen towel and dry my hands.

Dad and Deana come into the kitchen and sit down at their respective places at the table. I bring the pan to the table and sit down joining my family. My father dishes out dinner and we begin to eat. Dinner was somewhat quiet until I ask, "So dad, how was work?"

"It was okay, long and tiring like usual. It was the same old, same old." He replies his voice sounding tired. He must have overdone it at work.

Dinner was soon over after we finished eating. I picked up the plates and put them in the sink. Taking the leftovers I put them in a Tupperware bin and put it in the fridge. Walking down the hallway I pop my head into Dad's study and say, "Hey I need to go and have a little talk with Jimmy and Tom's mother. I'll be back in a little while."

"Okay, but why do you need to go and talk to their mother?" He asks looking up from his paperwork or as he called it sometimes his "homework."

I let out a sigh before I tell him, "Jimmy and Tim were making fun of Deana again because of her dyslexia. I told them that if I found about it I was going to tell their mother."

He stands up from his chair and walks over to me. He pulls me into a hug and says, "Please be careful."

I hug him back and reply, "Always am."

We pull away and he goes back to his "homework." I head out of his study and walk down the hall to my room. My room is nothing special, it has a bed, a desk, a dresser, a closet, posters, and small bookshelf. I walk over to my closet and grab my converse. Slipping them on and head out of my room, down the hall towards the door. I grab my hoodie from the coat rack and slide it on over my shirt.

I open the door and slip out, my feet carrying me down the sidewalk. Turning right, I head towards my destination. Those little brats are terrible, their mother needs to teach them manners and how to be nice to people. I swear they're the devil reincarnated into two people. Some people even call them the devil twins.

Approaching their house I fix my hoodie and put my hair in a pony. I walk up to the door and ring the doorbell. A few minutes later their mother opens the door, I could see the twins in the living room. "Oh, Winter, what do we owe the pleasure of this visit?"

"I came here to tell you that your boys, Jimmy and Tom, have been bullying my little sister because of her reading disability. I told them before if they did it again I'd be coming here to tell you." I tell her. I was fully confident that this was the best way to solve this problem.

Their mother, Mrs. Palomino, turns around to face her boys and asks, "Jimmy, Tom, is this true? Are you bullying Deana?"

Tom looks down at the ground while Jimmy replies fast and erratic, "No, she's lying!"
