FELIX'S POV

"The traffic on Monday morning..." My mom turned on the radio in the car and listened to the news as she drive me to school.

"The traffic jam is severe on Gangnam-daero heading towards Sinnonhyeon. There is an event at eleven am, the traffic will get worse."

"Oh no. The traffic isn't moving." My mom sighed as she heard the news and we encountered the traffic jam.

"The next news..." The news anchor said and mom turned up the volume of the radio.

"A middle school student in grief about grades, comitted suicide on the rooftop of an apartment. Seoul Gangnam Police Station reported that on the fifth, on Daechi..." The news was cut off when my mom turned off the radio.

"Goodness. A. middle school student? Poor thing. Kids these days." She sighed

"Felix, your dad and I thought hard before deciding to move here. You may feel awkward at first..."

"I know, it's okay. Don't worry. I'm not a little boy anymore."

"Wow! You're all grown up now? That's all O need to know. I trust you." She said and her phone rang. She answered it and put it on speakerphone.

"Yah! Where are you?"

"Chief Kim, I'm almost there. There's so much traffic."

"Ok. Hurry up."

"I'll be there soon!"

I just chuckle and looked out of the window.

"There's no choice. You know the way to your school from here right? Get out and walk." She said out of the blue.

"What? Mom, no way. It's my first dayat my new school." I complain.

"You're all grown up now."

I sighed and I had no choice but to get out of the car and walk my way to school.

"I knew it. You were the one who insisted to drive me to school." I said disappointedly as I get out of the car.

"I think you should start running now. Good luck on your first day!"

"Bye mom!" I said and started running.

I had to cross an overpass and I saw a girl standing on the railings of the overpass, looking down on the cars passing by. I started to get nervous on what she'll do so I watched her for a second then suddenly, she lifted both of her feet from the railing and leaned forward, attempting to fall down. I quickly ran to her and grabbed her by her waist and pulled her.

"What do you want?!" She exclaimed.

"Well... I just... I'm sorry." I stand up and turned away.

"Hey, you!" I turned to her and she was holding a box of cigarettes.

"Y-yes?" I asked her.

"Got a lighter?"

"No, I don't."

"Ok then. Go." I turn back again and she talked.

"And, by the way."

"What?"

"Mind your own business next time."

I just bow down to her and walked away.

"I was just trying to help. Geez. What a terrible start to my first day!" I say to myself.

I looked at my watch and it's only five minutes before classes start. I ran as fast as I can but I was too late. I stood up in the corridor with another student who is late, like me. He moved nearer to me and said hi.

"Hey, nice to meet you. I'm Han Jisung I moved from Incheon two months ago. What's your name and where are you from?"

"O-oh... I'm Lee Felix from Sydney, Australia."

"Woah! Nice! Be prepared. It's really tough at first"

"Really?"

"Of course! This is the famous Daechi. All the best students in Korea are here." While he was talking, the girl that I met on the overpass passed us and went in the classroom.

"Is she in our class? She isn't a high school student?" I asked Jisung.

"Yeah. The queen of our class, Choi Y/N."

"Queen?"

"Queen of Rudeness."

We peeked into the window of our classroom. Y/N just sat down, not minding the teacher.

"Yah! Choi Y/N! Get up! As if coming late isn't enough, you think you can sleep during class?"

Y/N just rolled her eyes and the teacher sighed in disbelief.

"You explain the PIMFY Syndrome." The teacher commanded her, pointing at the board.

"PIMFY syndrome. Please In My Front Yard. A selfish syndrome in which people want to secure businesses in their area. Good enough?"

"What? Good enough? How dare you talk like that to your teacher? There's no use in studying for you. You have no manners. This is why we need ethics!"

"Manners won't give me more points. Anyway, my score in ethics class is 100."

"How dare you!" The teacher raised his hand, attempting to slap her but Y/N started talking again.

"Student rights, section six, clause three. Yhe principal and all staff must not use verbal or physical abuse on the students. You know that, right? You're the ethics teacher."

Jisung and I looked away slowly.

"No wonder she's the Queen of Rudeness. She's the top student in our class." Jisung said.

"The top student? Why her?" I asked, surprised

He shrugged his shoulders and the window behind us opened.

"You're chatting while being punished? Hands up!"
