Remus P.O.V.

I put the letter safely away in my pocket as I walked out of my dorm. James rushed past me followed by Sirius and Peter.

"I can't believe she said no!" James yelled, obviously talking about Evans. "Why would she say no Sirius?"

Sirius looked around awkwardly, which is odd for him. Then I remembered why. The letter. I looked at him and smiled, letting him know that I've read it.

He blushed and looked back at James. "Don't worry about it mate! She's probably just playing hard to get." Sirius looked at me and smiled back.

James groaned loudly and fell back on his bed.

"Do you want to go for a walk Sirius?" I asked nervously. "I- uh, I just need some air and you wouldn't want to be left with a moping James, would you?" I hoped he would get the hint and walk with me so we can talk a bit about this letter.

"Um, yeah, sure. Of course." Sirius answered quieter than usual. We walked out of the dorm leaving James and Peter behind.

As we were walking down the stairs I started to feel a wave of anxiety, but it seemed that Sirius was getting less nervous, so I decided to ignore it.

We made our way down to the courtyard and I turned to look at Sirius. He was looking at me and blushing a little.

I never thought that I would be the one to make Sirius Black blush. I giggle at this thought and he looked down.

"So... did you read the letter, Remus?" Sirius asked nervously. I liked him even more when he was nervous. He blushed and acted awkward.

I smiled at the boy I have loved for the past five years. "Yes I got the letter, Sirius."

"And...?"

"I must say, I was quite surprised." At this Sirius' face went a deep shade of red.

"Oh, I, uh... I'm sorry, Remus, I-"

I cut him off with a short but amazingly wonderful kiss. I was expecting him to push me away or, I don't know, cry, but instead he pulled me in, deepening the kiss.

I put my fingers in his gorgeous hair and heard him moan against my lips. Pulling at his hair slightly he started to push me back against a wall.

I broke away hesitantly. "Sirius, we can't do this here..."

"I was hoping you would say that." Sirius winked. Now I was blushing, great.

"That's not what I meant."

"What do you mean then?"

"I mean that we can't make out in the middle of the courtyard. We are not having sex, Sirius." I added when I saw the smirk forming on Sirius' lips.

"Well that's the first time I've heard that one." Sirius sighed.

"I don't know what we'll tell the others..."

"They'll understand, won't they?" Sirius asked.

"I suppose they'll have to."

With that thought in mind I lead Sirius back to our dormitory.

"One last kiss!" Sirius turned to me and said suddenly.

"Oh, um, okay?"

I have to say our second kiss was much, much better than the first.
