Lance's POV

"Paladins, please report to the interior immediately." I heard the beautiful Princess Allura from over the futuristic intercom. I rush to remove my face cream (since it's been on for forty-five minutes), grab my blue robe, and just book it down the hallway, into the interior room.

By the time I got there, everyone else was already there in their regular clothing. Pigde, Hunk, Shiro, and Keith were all sitting on the white couches. Allura was standing where everyone could see her with Corran next to her. Allura seemed mid-sentance when I arrived so everyone gave me either an annoyed or exasperated look. "What? I took my face cream off this time!" That only made it worse. "Just sit down, Lance." Allura said. I plopped down next to Pidge.

"As you were saying, Princess?" asked Pidge.

"Huh? Ah, yes. Anyway, Paladins,  today we will return to Earth. Bu-" It was no use. We went insane. We jumped out of our seats and started rambling and cheering.  "Yes! I'll get to see Veronica, Luis, and Marco! I'll finally get to see rain again!" The others were excitedly naming the things and people that they'll be able to see again but none of them compared to my family and the water from the sky.

"PALADINS!" Princess Allura yelled over us. It was obvious that she had said it more than once, and she was mad with all five of us. So, we all immediately silenced ourselves and sat down at attention.  "As I was trying to say, we're not going to your part of Earth." We all sank.  "We're going to Manhattan in New York. Whe-"

"Sorry for interrupting, but why are we going to Manhattan?" asked Pidge. "Does it have to do with the Galra?" She sounded panicked.

Allura sighed. "I apologize, Paladins. But I'm afraid so.  The Blade of Marmora said that the Galra and Zarkon will be attacking a few days prior, so we must hurry. Lance, get dressed. Then join the others to suit up." We were about to separate when, "Wait, Princess." called Keith. She turned around. "Do you realize how big Manhattan is? And people on Earth has never heard of Voltron before. How will this work?"

She sighed. "I know somebody down on Earth. They own plenty of property  for the Lions to land."

"Who is 'they'?" I asked.

"You'll find out soon enough. Now go and get ready, we need to be ready to wormhole in twenty Earth minutes."

We separate without any more interruptions. Even though I may not get to see my family, but who knows? Maybe it'll rain on our mission.
