Letter {|Chapter One|}

|[The Day Before The Meeting]|

I stay seated in my Office as usual, I have worked for at least two hours so far today on paperwork for the company. I sigh while placing my pen down on the side of the paper I was working on and rest my head upon my hand that was propped up on the wooden desk. 'It's about time I could go for something sweet...' I think to my self. Almost, nearly as if he had read my mind (Which he probably did) , Sebastian opened the huge doors to my office with a nice parfait. He placed it down in front of me and then instead of leaving, he began to speak while pulling something out of his tail coat.

"My Lord, you remember that meeting, the one we have scheduled for tomorrow?" He had questioned. I swallowed the food in my mouth and patted my lips with the cloth napkin my butler had provided me with the parfait.

"Yes, why?" I blankly stating, wanting him to get to the point. He then fully pulled out what turned out to be an envelope and placed in front of me, beside my snack. I stared at it while Sebastian continued to speak.

"Well young lord, as it turns out our guest tomorrow has sent you a letter." He finished. I grab the letter in my hands and begin to open the paper.

"That would be all then." I stated. Sebastian bowed, as usual then left the room silently. I watched the doors close behind him. I then proceed to pull the letter out of the envelope. Just after unfolding the paper, my eyes scan the paper as I read it. Gladly for me it wouldn't be to time consuming and it's to the point so I can get straight back to work. Here is what it had read.

'Dear Earl of Phantomhive, I am terribly sorry for my short notice but I will be having my daughter accompany me to our meeting do to a recent privet family issue. I do hope this shall not be a problem, she is a quiet girl. With all thanks. Signed, Mr. Damiano.'

I finish the letter and place it in the rubbish bin beside my desk. My final though before I get back to work is 'She better not be childish'.
