Someone switched on the light which was hanging from this ceiling. I squinted my eyes at the sudden light, trying to make out who the person was.

It was a man. A stranger. He was looking at me in an eerie way.

That was when I noticed the cords that had kept me tied to the chair. I took in my surroundings, feeling confused as to where I was. It was a dark room with no furniture in it. Except the chair in which I was sitting.

"Why did you kidnap me? Why? Let me go! You insolent creep!" I shouted.

The man looked at me and said, "Alyssa?"

I was even more confused. " My name is Claire. Not Alyssa."

Anguish filled the man's eyes. " No that can't be true." He kept on muttering, cutting the cords off my wrists and freeing me.

By this time, I was convinced that he was crazy. He was sobbing uncontrollably, whispering 'Alyssa' over and over again.

I touched his shoulder gently. "Are you okay?"

Even though he had just kidnapped me and brought me to this dark abandoned room, I couldn't help feeling sorry for him.

He looked at me in the eye and said, " I'm searching for my daughter Alyssa. Those men took her from me. She looks just like you. Please help me find my little daughter." He began sobbing uncontrollably again.

It broke my heart to see a grown man, crying so much over his daughter. Someone had kidnapped the light of his life, his daughter. And he has been searching for her for the past 2 years. Never giving up. Just searching.

It was then I realized that this man wasn't a creepy kidnapper after all. He was just a father. A father who had lost his daughter. And a man who just did not give up hope and kept on searching for his little princess.
