Thank StarClan! ShadowClan could really use a second medicine cat. Though... would that mean that Vincent couldn't become a medicine cat if he came back to ShadowClan?

The two young cats left the camp, Mistyheart pressing against Hollyberry's side, feeling heat rush through her pelt. They had grown more distant recently, with Hollyberry dedicating all of his time to the prophecy, both of the prophecies, and to his medicine cat duties. That was understandable, and Mistyheart wouldn't want things any other way. Of course though, it was still a pleasure to spend time with him.

"And this is coltsfoot," Hollyberry was explaining, sounding passionate as he spoke about the various herbs in the forest. As Mistyheart was struggling to remember anything, she felt admiration rush through her. Hollyberry really did care about healing his Clanmates, it was clear in the way that he spoke, and he had to be pretty smart to remember all of the herbs, too. "You chew the leaves into a pulp, and it eases kitten-cough. You can also use them on cracked pads."

Mistyheart murmured something in response, though she wasn't even entirely sure what it was.

"Mistyheart!" Hollyberry meowed. He padded over to her, poking her shoulder. "Mistyheart! Are you zoning out? Come on, you have to listen to me! You're super smart, you'll understand all of this is no time!"

StarClan, I hope that I will. Knowledge of herbs would be very helpful, if there's ever a time a medicine cat isn't around to help.

"I'm not so sure about that," the longhaired warrior answered doubtfully. "I might be smart, but that doesn't mean I understand these things."

"But you have to!" Hollyberry insisted.

Mistyheart smiled a little. Hollyberry had always been so encouraging towards her, and for a while, she hadn't even appreciated it.

"So, another rule in the Warrior Code is?" Jaggedscar was asking. Heavystar had decided to let the apprentices train with elder, if she tested their knowledge on the Warrior Code.

"Defend your Clan, even with your life!" Crouchpaw mewed, looking excited, as though she was prepared to put her life on the line straight away to defend her Clanmates.

"Very good, but we already said that one!" Jaggedscar gave a laugh, smiling with amusement at the eager apprentice. "We've said almost all of them. What about you, Mistypaw?"

Mistypaw tensed, feeling embarrassment rush through her as Hollypaw, Seedpaw and Crouchpaw turned to stare at her. Kinktail, who was simply watching from a mouselength or two away, started laughing.

"I.. uh..." Mistypaw didn't know what to say. She didn't believe in StarClan, so she had never really paid attention to the Warrior Code, either.

Hollypaw hissed to her, "I think I might know, give me a moment!" The medicine cat apprentice narrowed his eyes, deep in thought.

Mistypaw was thinking too. "Be respectful towards everyone?" She asked nervously.

Jaggedscar smiled again. "Of course that's very important, but an actual rule straight out of the Code is the only answer I'll accept!"

Mistypaw continued to think, aware that Seedpaw had started laughing too, and that even Crouchpaw was smirking with amusement.

Suddenly, it hit her. "Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to StarClan for its life." She stared at her paws, still fretting over whether she had gotten the answer wrong.
