Chapter 19 | Regret

You curled around your two small hatchlings, both with shut eyes and small clambering paws they moved around. Trying to climb out of the protective circle that you made for them and explore. You sat next to your children, listening to their soft squeals and grunts as they climbed over one another. It had been a week since you lost your first born due to... You never left your nest afterwards, Valka would bring you barrels of fish so you wouldn't starve. Your wings grew stiff as they hadn't been used in awhile. You could hear him padding around outside your cave. You snapped yo snap at him, you wanted to claw at his scales and tear him to pieces. You growled as you listened, he was climbing a tree. You stood up, your eyes burned as you looked around, you spotted him. Within minutes the tree was down, burnt to a crisp within seconds. You went back to your children laying down once again.

You heard running, your head shot up as you looked around. Your eyes scanning for the sound. "No! Stop!" Valka shouted, "Toothless!" Hiccup called. You got up, your pupils turning to slits as you focused. Suddenly Toothless entered you cave, he was out of breathe, "Please, just-" "I told you to stay away." You growled, cutting him off, you could feel the adrenaline rush to your wings and heart. He was cowering. "I just-" You didn't let him finished that sentence as you charged him, your head colliding with his chest forcing him back. He wasn't expecting such force and as a result he wasn't able to stop him self. You pushed him out of the cave, watching him rolled and hit the floor. But passion fueled your rage, you didn't care, you jumped down after him claws and teeth bared. He shot a small bit of plasma at you to set you off you mark,  but you barreled towards him. Your teeth latching on to  the back of his head. If you wanted to you could kill him, right here and right now. Valka and Hiccup watched as Toothless tried desperately to escape your grasp. Valka knew that if she didn't intervene something horrible would happen. Quickly think she cupped her hands together, blowing around through the gap between her thumbs a high pitch whistle rang out. Your eyes darted towards the cave, you tossed Toothless aside and sprung up. Your back claws tearing the soft skin on his back as you flew into your cave. You looked at your Young, they were sleeping soundly curled into each other. Your head flicked back to the entrance of the cave, padding forward you glared down at the three below you. They shared terrified expressions as they stared back. You let out an earth shaking roar, arcing your wings to add dramatic effects. Staring at Toothless and his hurt eyes you said,

"Leave"
