"Alright, where is Orion?" she asked him as they looked through the window. "There are the seven sisters," he told her, pointing to the ploidies. "Indeed now the seven sisters want you to go to bed," she told him, ushering him back towards his bed. Bending down she kissed his head. "Goodnight my sweet boy, I love you." she whispered before rising. "goodnight mummy, I love you too," he told her as she closed the door after her and headed for the door opposite of his to her own bedroom.

Sitting down on the edge of her bed, she pulled her drawer open. Reaching for a necklace she'd held onto for so long. It had been the one Glen had given her on their first 'date' in Greece. Wrapping it in her fist, she held it to her chest and closed her eyes. She wished that everything would work out. She didn't want to hurt like she had five years ago. She still felt a part of that hurt, but the years had lessened it. She wasn't ready to go through that again though.

"What do I do?" Kate asked her friend as she sat opposite of Catherine at Anmer Hall. She'd been invited to spend two days there when the kids were off from school. She was allowed to stay longer, just like any other time when she was invited to come and stay over. The kids didn't have school, but her job wouldn't allow her to be gone for longer than that. But it was lovely for her to be able to get out of town and spend some time with her friend and who she considered being her family in the UK.

"What do you want to do?" Catherine asked her as she handed her a glass of red wine. "I want him to know his dad. When I see them together or just watch Glen. It reminds me so much of the person that I fell so hard and fast for. I just can't lose more of my heart than I already have." she confessed, leaning her head back with a soft groan.

"We won't let him Kate," William told her as she gave him a grateful smile. "Harry and I won't allow you to get hurt again," he added as she gave him a sisterly smile.

"Why can't my life be easy for once?" she asked them as Catherine chuckled beside her. "Knowing you, you'd be bored out of your mind," she told her as Kate rolled her eyes, but then again, she couldn't help but agree with that statement either.

"Why don't you do what you always do?" Catherine asked her as she rested her hand on her best friend's arm. "Go with the flow. I don't know him. If you want I can rattle Pippa up and a few other friends. We can go to the concert together. I've only seen them once at the Variety performance." Catherine explained with a sneaky grin on her face as Kate rolled her eyes at her best friend.

"I've always wanted to see them, seems like a perfect time," she added, rubbing her hand together. The glint in her eye had Kate more than a little on edge. She was convinced that the Queen should have named her The Duchess of Mischief or sneakiness.

"I won't let him hurt you again. Neither will Harry or Will. You're like the little sister they never had." Catherine assured her as both of them looked at a nodding William as he walked up and joined them on the couch. "I'll never let anyone hurt you again." Will told her, wrapping his arms around her shoulders protectively.

"Thanks, guys," she told them with a relieved sigh. "Kicking?" Kate asked when she noticed Catherine rubbing her very big bump already. She still had about three months to go. "Jep, want to feel?" Catherine asked her. But she didn't really have time to answer as Catherine took her hand and put it on the spot the baby was kicking in.

"I kind of miss that," she admitted with a wistful smile. Despite her being single. Being pregnant had really been an amazing experience. She wouldn't mind a little sister or brother for Arthur. To feel a baby growing inside of her. He'd asked her about it at Christmas as well. But in order to do that, you needed two people and she was alone since basically the start of his life.
