I walked to my car and put all the bags I had from Christmas shopping into the trunk. I finally got a new car with some of the money that I have saved up and the money I earned from my new job at Sorella Boutique.
I shut the trunk and got into my car warming up thinking about what else I needed to get.
"Damn I need groceries too" I sighed. I just wanna go home and lay down.
I drove to the Kroger near by and picked up apples, oranges, grapes, plums, yogurt, fruit snacks, fruit rollups, cookies, brownies, milk, Fruit loops, Lucky Charms, Arizona Tea, lemonade, water, ice cream, Popsicles, salmon, chicken, pasta, pasta sauce chicken nuggets, a few pizzas, hot dogs, hot dog buns and tater tots when I got a call from Faith.
"Hey girl" I greeted
"Hey, are you out right now?" She asked
"Yeah why?"
"I need some bananas and vanilla wafers for this banana pudding and I was wondering if you could pick it up for me. I'll pay you back" she asked
"Alright no problem I'm actually at Kroger right now so I'll drop it off to you when I get home."
"Alright thanks boo!" She said hanging up
I walked back to the fruit section getting bananas then went and got the vanilla wafers.
I walked to the register, which luckily had no one in line and waited for the lady to ring up my things.
"Your total today will be $102.30" she said
I swiped my card and put in my pin then waited as the lady gave me my receipt and put all my bags into the cart.
"Merry Christmas sweetie be safe" she said
"Thank you, you do the same" I smiled and walked out of the store
I put all the groceries in the back seat since there was no room in the trunk, and made my way home.
I got off the elevator then walked to my door. I struggled to open it then sighed in frustration when Trey came out of his apartment.
He unlocked the door and we both walked in.
"Thanks" I said putting the groceries on the kitchen floor and set my jacket down on the chair.
"No problem. But I've been meaning to tell you that, my mom knows this lady that helps people start their own businesses and I know that you're into fashion and all that so, I called the lady, by the way her name is Mrs. Sanders, and mentioned that you were interested in starting your own boutique. She's gonna give you a call in a few weeks. I guess you could say this is your Christmas present from me." He said handing me her business card
