"If you want I can come over tomorrow morning and help out," he suggested with a tilt of his shoulder and pull up from his shoulder. He wanted nothing more than to spend more time with both Kate and Arthur. He'd gotten to know George and Charlotte and they were a handful, but he liked them as well. But they weren't the people he was meant to return for the next morning. But if it meant he could use them as an excuse to come and help her out, he'd take it.
"I've done this before you know," she told him with a small chuckle and tilt of her head as she looked at him. "I know," he noted, returning the smile at her. "But I can imagine it's easier with two. You can't have your eyes everywhere. And don't get me wrong but Warren doesn't seem like one of the warmest guys around." he told her as Kate couldn't help but chuckle at that. He was great at protecting the children and her when she was around. But he wasn't the warmest of people. He did his duty but she was more than happy that she'd had Glen during the bath time crises she'd had.
"Where do you live actually?" she wondered, not knowing where he needed to drive to at all. She held up a cup as if to ask if he wanted one before turning on the water heater and turning back to him.
"Harrow," he told her as she nodded her head. "Well, I'd give you the spare rooms or the two others upstairs so you wouldn't have to make the commute. But they are filled with boxes and stuff from when his former nanny stayed here so if you're with the couch for tonight?" she asked him with a tilt of her head and nod in the direction of the corner couch. feeling stupid that she hadn't cleaned up those two upper bedrooms. When she had a few days off, she'd really have to get to work on them.
"I'll take it," he told her immediately as she gave him a smile. "Let me get you some pillows and a blanket," she told him, walking past him. This was such a bad idea she thought to herself as she snuck into her bedroom for pillows and a blanket. Getting back down she out a quick bed for Glen. It was a pretty comfortable couch, she knew from experience so she hoped he wouldn't be uncomfortable in it.
"I was wondering when we'll be able to tell him?" he asked her, walking up to her in front of the couch. "My parents would love to get to know him," he whispered softly, hoping he wasn't stepping over any invisible boundaries.
"Don't get me wrong. I know that you leaving will probably not happen. But it's only been two days Glen." she told him with a tilt of her head. "You only saw him for the first time last night," she added with a small shake of her head as she covered his hand with hers and it sends a shiver down her spine.
"I understand." he smiled sadly as his chin dropped to his chest. "Three weeks," she told him after a minute of silence. "What?" he asked her as he lifted his head to look back at her.
"If you're still willing to be a part of his life in three weeks and he continues to accept you like he has, we'll tell him," she told him with a small sigh, realising that things would never be the same again if they told him. It wouldn't just be her and Arthur anymore. He wouldn't just be her little boy anymore. She'd have to share him with his dad and his father's family. It had always been her family back in Belgium and the one she had here in London. She hoped that she wouldn't lose the love her little man had for her. She knew it was stupid to even think that, but she couldn't help herself from thinking it.
"We're starting our UK tour next week," he told her as she nodded her head. She remembered him talking about how much tougher and how much work it was in comparison to the image that people had of it. He loved touring, but it was exhausting to travel in a bus and sleep on it.
She also realised that he wouldn't be around too much as well when they kicked off their tour. "I can still be there for him. I can call him, facetime, skype. I don't want to lose another moment with him." he quickly added when he saw the wave of emotions across her face.
