Chapter 7 trying Not to kill my cousin and his friends

Kate's POV

I looked at my cell phone and saw the location that Jace and the rest of the team were. 'OMG of all the places they could be it had to be a nightclub!!!' I thought. I finally got to the location and saw that it was highly populated nightclub. I saw the bouncer had a rune on his neck so I flashed my angelic rune that was on my forearm to him and he let me straight through.

I made my way through the grinding bodies to the VIP section knowing that the team would try to corner the demons here, keyword TRY. As I snuck in I saw that the demons had the upper hand on the others. I through my blade and it went straight through seven of the demons heads and like a boomerang came straight back to my hand. Alec looked at me with grateful eyes, Jace looked impressed, Clary looked relieved and Izzy looked like she was ready to kick some more demon butt.

"I taught you well, Kate," said my very cocky cousin. "Umm, actually it was mainly Alec and Izzy that trained me, Jace. But let's not get too deep into detail right now, we have some demon butt to kick," I replied.

After what felt like several hours of fighting we finished and all that was left was demon blood on our blades and dust scattered on the floor. I then looked at Jace and started yelling, "You Ass. I was worried and I thought something bad had happened to you! You had me and Niki and Melody worried. What if I wasn't in Gotham! If you had died tonight I would have had Magnus bring you guys back from the dead and then I would kill you myself!! But I wouldn't kill Alec because Malec is OTP." "Ok, now that I have finished my rant. I have been asked by the wonderful Melody herself to deliver you to her and Clary better have a portal ready to go as she is in a big mood," I said in a calm voice.

"NOOO! Anyone but Melody! I'm begging you cousin, please don't take us there," Jace said nope more like begged as he got on his hands and knees and actually begged. Oh this is hilarious, I'm so gonna show Melody this later on. "Sorry Cuz. An orders an order." Alec the picked up his Pārbati with the help of Izzy and we started walking back to the hotel.

We finally reached the Hotel and as I walked through the door I called out, "I'm baaaaack! And I have the annoying hunters!" (#D1 #D2 reference) "Nice, Mal impression, Kate," said Belle as she walked up to us with Mel by her side. Melody the walked up to Jace grabbed him by his ear as he was yelling, "Ouch, ouch! Melody that hurts," she then yelled at him, "Are you STUPID!! HAS BEING AN EGOTISTICAL SHADOWHUNTER GOTTEN TO YOUR HEAD!! YOU COULD HAVE KILLED!!!" Melody was definitely in a bad mood. She never shouted unless it was necessary or we were in training. Melody was almost always the silent but deadly type of person and even with all the power, she possesses she never once tried to intentionally hurt anyone in the Dauntless compound or in the Shadow Hunter world.

Mel's POV
"I know that you have not have wanted to be at the funeral but you could have at least told Kate or Nikki where you lot where going. We were wondering where the hell you guys were. After the funeral, I turned around to talk to Izzy and I see that she isn't there, and I thought that isn't like Izzy and that she doesn't wander off unless it's for a mission. But you guys would tell me if you had a mission and YOU DIDN'T!! I had to find out from a clave informer. I sent a fire message to the clave and they told me that you were on a bloody mission and I became furious because you didn't tell me." And of course Alec being Alec had to interrupt me whilst I was ranting, "I'm sorry, I didn't realise that you were our superior or we had to report that we were going on missions to you." And of course, he had to say it sarcastically. Thankfully Belle came to my rescue. "Guys, why don't you go back to the Institute and get some rest. You had a near-death experience and you seem tired. Hey Clary, you still got that portal power of yours?" "Yeah why?" asked Ginger. "I recommend that you portal the others as well as yourself to the institute and get some rest. We need it too as we have a big meeting with Percy's uncle tomorrow and you have training." "I think that is a very good idea, Belle. Come on Jace, Alec, Clary." Said the stylish Lightwood female.

After the Shadow Hunters had left we all decided to go to bed but before I went to bed I went to check on Nicoletta and Percy. And there they were, snuggled up together in the bed together. I chucked slightly knowing that Nik had a crush on Perc and that the son of Poseidon was starting to gain feelings for the daughter of Hermes.
