When Seraphina woke up, dim light was filtering through the window.
She sat up and rubbed her eyes. It was around 7 in the morning.
John had left a note by her table,it read,
"Hey Sera. I went off early so I could get the the boys dorm and get changed into my uniform. I woke up a little later so I had to rush,but I didn't want to wake you up. Anyway. I'll see you at school.
Love,John"
She felt warmth rush into her heart as she read the last sentence.
Seraphina didn't know when her feelings for John started,nor did she care,because all that mattered was he returned her affections.
After she had finished showering,she applied some concealer on the bruises on her thighs. It was still visible,but it wasn't that obvious. Right.
She put on her uniform and slung a reddish- purple scarf around her neck.
Heading to school,Seraphina didn't have much of a problem,seeing as most mid-tiers didn't bother to mess with her.
Then she reached the school gates. She started to get weird glances from students who were talking to each other,a few,"What happened to her"s here and there,but it was enough to get Seraphina paranoid.
It was still early. Seraphina decided to go to infirmary to get a tonic for bruises,hoping they would disappear by the time classes started.
The infirmary door swung open as she reached for it,and out came John.
"Ah,Sera!" He piped cheerfully,and added an a worried tone,"You okay?"
She smiled,"I'm fine,John. I just wanna ask Doc for some bruise tonic."
"Yeah,I just had some. But he gave me the weak stuff because I didn't tell him where I got the bruises from." John said.
Seraphina's face flushed a light pink,"R-right. I'll be going now."
John waved to her as she disappeared behind the infirmary door.
"Seraphina. Its you." Growled Darren grumpily. The blue-haired man sat up straight in his seat,"What do you want?"
"Just some bruise tonic." She replied
"What for?" Inquired Darren
"For bruises,duh?" Seraphina remarked sarcastically.
Darren sighed,"Look,Seraphina. You'll have to tell me how severe the bruises are,and how they came to be there,or I'll have to give you the basic tonic,just like John."
"I...uh..." She mumbled.
"Just give me the basic tonic then." She decided.
When Darren got up from his seat,he walked to the small laboratory to mix up some chemicals. He settled on a mint green liquid,and turned to hand it to Seraphina.
"Whatever bruises they are,they should be gone by second period. Fourth period,tops." Darren muttered.
Seraphina took down all the tonic with one gulp. It left a bitter taste in her mouth.
"Thanks Doc." She said. Seraphina then pulled open the infirmary door and left.
As she headed for the stairs,she heard quick footsteps coming towards her,and a very familiar voice followed.
"Seraphina!"
Remi dashed to her, a worried look on her face. She stopped in front of her,and Seraphina turned fully to face her.
"Remi,good morning?" She greeted
"Seraphina! What happened!" She exclaimed
Seraphina flinched when some of the students turned to them.
