"I wonder if he has a girlfriend... you both would look cute together." She said with a small smile on her face.
Okay I guess I was wrong. "Me? No... You're probably way more his type. Besides... the last thing I need to worry about is some guy I just met."
"Okay you may be a bit shy around guys, but don't think I can't tell when you like someone Ally. I'm your best friend. I know this stuff. And he seems really interested in you." Lexi said.
"You are my best friend but this time you're wrong. A guy like him would never like someone like me." I said to hopefully shut her up about the topic.
"A guy like him? Oh pardon me, have you known him all your life to know that? Don't go around making assumptions about people. You'll miss out on so much Ally," she said. Tyler then started to walk back to us with a sprite in his hand. "If you want my opinion, I think you should go for it. I mean look at him... he's like a Greek god." She said winking at me.
I rolled my eyes and laughed. "I'm sure you'd know so much about that."
Tyler reached us and handed Lexi her sprite.
"Now let's get away from all these kids. Time to meet my friends." Tyler said as he guided us into the house.
Tyler took us downstairs into the basement. There was a pool table in the middle of the room. Three guys were playing a game. A girl and another guy sat on a black couch that was in front of a TV with an Xbox 360. There was a stereo that played some music in the background.
"Hey guys, sorry I took so long. But I brought along some friends." Tyler said as he motioned towards Lexi and I. "This is Ally and Lexie."
Lexie and I both smiled at the group.
"These are my friends, Ryan, Dean, Luke, Tara, and Gavin."
The three guys playing pool all nodded. Tara and Gavin who were the couple sitting both smiled and waved. Then turned back to the racing video game they were playing.
"Welcome to the wolf pack." Luke said as he smirked.
"Luke is pretty lame, you guys can just ignore him." Tyler said laughing.
"And you're a hater." Luke said as he playfully punched Tyler on the arm.
"Do you girls want to join?" Dean spoke. He asked both of us, but he was clearly looking at Lexi and wanted her to play.
"I'm all in for a round. I'll show you all how It's done." Lexi said as she made her way closer to him.
"Aha my kind of girl." Dean said smiling.
Lexi was always the flirty type. It was easy for her. Guys would fall all over trying to get with her. But she wouldn't just be with anyone. She has standards. I dated around, but never getting too serious with any guy.
I took a seat on an empty couch. Tyler went to the stereo and flipped through some songs until stopping at one he liked. He walked over towards me and took a seat along side me.
"So how long have you lived around here?" he asked.
"All my life... never lived anywhere else," I said. I laughed as I watched Tara and Gavin fight over who won the race. "Kind of get's boring being in the same place for so long."
"Boring? I doubt it. It'd be nice to call at least one place your home. I just moved here a couple months ago. We kind of move a lot... It's been that way all my life." He said
"Let's switch lives then. I'd gladly move from place to place." I laughed.
"Watch how long that lasts. After the first two moves you'll be tired of it. Trust me." he said with a small smile.
