Dear Vash,
believe me, you're one of the bravest people i know.
and you don't have to
prove that so badly.

[BEHIND CHAPEL]
you were with your favorite teacher, but you were crying like a puppy and your face twisted in terror.
he... held you in places
where no one should.
and you loathed it so much.
he slipped his hand beneath your uniform, and another unbuckled the torn belt on your waist.
my stomach uncomfortably clenched at the sight. i fell slack.
before i knew it,
my feet charged towards him.
the moment i was close, i opened my mouth and bit his arm until i tasted his blood; until he let out a sharp cry and let you go.
as a punishment,
i felt a heavy blow on my head.
it sent my knees trembling,
but i knew i had
to get you out of here.
i yanked your frail arm out of his hold, and dragged you with me.
we ran out to the streets. we did not stop until his cries were drowned out by the sounds of raging cars.
instead of giving me
your half-hearted thanks,
you punched me square on the jaw.
you cried.
"you pig! i'm going to lose everything!"
"then tell me!"
i shouted at you.
"what are you going to get
if you gave him your body?"
you broke down.
"i-i'm sorry,
i didn't give it to him, please."
you stuttered.
"h-he's secret police.
if i didn't, he'd report me and-"
"take away your honor?!"
i interrupted indignantly.
"everything."
you whispered so shakily i swore i could hear your tears.
"he's going to chase me 'til i drop dead. i can't live like that."
"please, Vash."
i cooed and brought you to my arms. "i can't promise you anything, but hold on just a little bit longer, please."
and you did, Vash.
do you know that you're
a m a z i n g ?
