"That's when we find out who we really are"

Poptart.

That's all I wanted. I shot up out of my bed. I smelled poptarts so I ran downstairs to see Zayne eating a poptart so I skidded over to my cabinet to grab one for myself.

"You good?" Zayne asked in between bites.

I nodded as I sat down on the couch with my Poptarts.

"If you don't mind me asking why were you crying last night?" Zayne asked calmly.

"I don't talk or think about my parents much but when I do, I cry a river. I've only ever told Linda about it." I said my voice breaking at the end.

"Oh, okay." Zayne nodded but looked deep in thought.

"They taught Willy and I how to be independent so I've been fine for the past few years." I explained.

"Willy?" Zayne asked.

I smiled and nodded. "My older brother." I explained.

"Cool." Zayne's phone was blowing up.

"Someone's popular this morning." I said teasingly. Zayne looked at his phone and groaned.

"Come on!" He exclaimed. The action caused me to fall out if my chair laughing.

"What?" Zayne exclaimed.

I laughed until it hurt. "Your face." I choked out.

Then my phone rang. It was Linda.

"Hello Li-"

"WAKE UP NATALIA!" Linda screamed over the phone causing Zayne to jump.

"Good Morning Sunshine!" I exclaimed sarcastically. Zayne was chuckling and looking at his phone.

"What's up? You good?" Linda asked tentatively.

"Yeah. Just, don't bring Jon next time." I said finality in my tone.

"Yeah yeah. Bye Nataloo!" Linda chimed before hanging up.

"Damn, your friend scares me." Zayne said. I wasn't surprised.

"Yeah, she'll beat you up if you hurt me at all so you should be." I said in a matter of factly way.

"I don't doubt she would." He said running a hand through his hair.

"That is unless I were to beat her to it." I said casually walking up to my room to get changed.
