The boys despite Arthur being in a cast had been playing with cars and didn't like Charlotte being between them. "Charlotte why don't we go and read a book, while the boys play?" Kae suggested, when the two of them got together it was a big bunch of energy. Charlotte wanting to be involved got moved to the side.

Just as she was going to sit down to start reading the book, the doorbell rung. "We going to see who's out there?" Kate asked Charlotte, tickling her sides. She loved her son, but she had the desire to have a daughter one day as well. And whenever Charlotte came around, she was the aunt spoiling her niece.

"Yes." Charlotte laughing, wiggling in Kate's arms as she went to open the door. "Hey." she smiled when she watched Glen standing on the other side of the door. "I figured you might need some help," he suggested in a sheepish manner. "I'd like that, the boys are a handful," she told him as she move aside to let him in.

"Are they really that close?" he wondered as they'd managed to settle the kids in the couch as Frozen played on TV.

"I think I heard William call you sis," he added as she gave him a small smile. "Don't ask me how it happened or when it happened." she started with a shake of her head and a small chuckle.

"One day after opening hours Kate was coming around the museum as it's Patron. I showed her around, we were both four months pregnant at the time," she explained as he nodded his head in understanding.

"We bonded almost instantly. It was as I'd known her for years. We started talking about our pregnancies and the worry of being a first-time mom. The birth, the labour and all that stuff. I confessed that I had to do it all by myself." she told him with a sad smile and tilted head.

"At that point, I was close to reaching my breaking point. It was so overwhelming and the only 'friends' I had were colleagues. I had to remain professional with them at the end of the day." she continued as he rested his cheek against his fist, his elbow on the back of the couch.

"At first we went around the museum talking about the museum. Then it became about our bump and us being pregnant, we found out we were close to each other in due date. How terrified we both were of the birth and the pain of it. And when we got to my office through the instant connection we had. I broke, I confessed everything, she is one of the few people who knew that you're his dad." she told him as he nodded his head at the realisation that William probably knew as well. It got him a little nervous that the future King of England knew something so personal. Thank god they were in the kitchen and had some privacy to talk about this.

"So she was there for you?" he asked her, not being able to imagine that, but he'd seen it an hour ago. It was hard though to think of Kate in that capacity. They had just been two pregnant women at the time. Talking, discussing things and bonding.

"I suppose so, she listened to everything. We exchanged number and she told me that if there was anything that I could always call her or sent her a text," she told him, smiling at his stunned face.

"I was so surprised and stunned of having the number of a future Queen. I didn't reach out. I thought it was weird to do that. But then about a week later, she called me. invited me over to Wales where Will was working at the time. She forced me a little to come over." Kate confessed with a small chuckle and shake of her head as she thought back to that moment.

"I ended up going for the weekend. Will and I, we both have a degree in Geography and we're both interested in the same things. I don't know how it happened. There was that instant connection with them. I imagined it all being weird and awkward, but nothing could be further from the truth. By the evening of my first day there, I realised they were just a man and woman at the end of the day. Both excited to have their first child." she explained as Glen nodded his head at that.

"We spend the weekend there, getting to know each other more and more and better." Kate continued telling as she put a cup of tea in front of Glen, keeping one eye and ear to the living room.

"I wasn't even in London yet when Kate called me back. Will was going away for the weekend and she invited me over for dinner the next weekend. I ended up going, I met Harry that weekend and it really started from there." she noted with a shrug of her shoulders.

"We bonded through our common interest that instant connection, being pregnant. We have a lot in common, with all four of them. It isn't just Geography that floats my boat." she reminded him and he couldn't help but chuckle. She had so many interests he sometimes wondered how she kept track of them.

"I love art, architecture, philosophy." she started listing. Glen knew the woman in front of him to be endlessly curious. Nothing was hard to learn about. Nothing was a waste to learn from or about.

Even when they'd been in Greece she would always have a book near her, ready to learn something new.

"It was like having a friend back that I never knew I'd lost," she told him with a chuckle. "With William and Harry, they were like the big brothers I never had," she added with a shrug of her shoulders.

"When Arthur was born she promised to come by but then she went into labour herself." she chuckled, thinking back to those crazy two days. You saw the pictures yesterday we visited each other just hours after she left the hospital. She'd been there so much for me, introduced me to all the friends I have here now. Made me a part of her and their family. They are my second family here in London. Kate is also one of Arthur's godparents." she told him before she started laughing at the surprised and stunned face on Glen's face.

"To me, they aren't the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge or Prince Harry. It's pure chance that all of this happened. Harry is the annoying big brother that tells dirty jokes and annoys the little sister. Will is the big protective sister who's always hovering and caring. Kate, she's like the twin sister I never knew I had. We're both a little crazy and we wouldn't have it any other way. I'm close to Pippa and Harry and Will's cousins as well. They're all such a great bunch of people." she told him with a fond smile on her face as she remembered and thought of the people she was talking about.

"They call you Aunty?" He asked her with a disbelieving chuckle. He still couldn't wrap his head around this. He was surprised and stunned by all the things she was telling him. He could see the fondness, love and adoration she held for them. To her, they were truly big brother she never had and friends.

"Yes when she got pregnant with her, I watched George once in a while to give her some rest. She had such a horrible time with morning sickness." She told him with a sad and empathic smile.

"She asked if I'd like to be one of the godmothers but I turned it down. I don't know why. Maybe I knew you'd find me in that way by doing that." she explained with a small shrug of her shoulders.

"You still did," she added with a chuckle as Glen smiled at her, nodding his head.

"But she's already asked if you I want to be a godmother to the little one she's expecting now and I simply couldn't deny her. She's been such a great friend to me. Our children are growing up together as you can see." she noted as she motioned to the living room where she saw the three children cuddling up to one another.

She smiled when she noticed Charlotte walking up to them. "Aunty Kate, can I have some juice?" she asked her as Kate gave her a small smile.

"Of course you can," Kate whispered as she pulled the juice box from the fridge and walked to the coffee table with the glass where she took a sip. "Glen, can you sit with us?" Arthur asked, his head popping out above the back of the couch.

"Sure thing." He smiled, rushing over to comply with his son.

Looking around the house and at his son, he realised Kate had done an excellent job so far and he hoped beyond all hope that he would be able to become a part of this, to create a family with her. If she'd allow him of course.
