Chapter 6

"There is no point in living in the past," she noted and everyone who knew Glen in the room, which was everyone could relax a little. they saw the drop of his shoulder as he himself relaxed a little she wasn't that unreasonable.

"For crying out loud," she muttered when her phone went off again and she dug him out of her back pocket. Seeing that it was Kate she rolled her eyes, she hadn't forgotten the entire morning of her trying to set her up for the wedding. Glen being back in your life doesn't mean you'll end up together. knowing the stubborn mule that you are." Kate had told her in amusement.

"God Cambridge you're not going to give up in your attempt to set me up for the wedding are you?" she asked her with a hint of amusement, forgetting that Glen was standing beside her and he didn't like the sound of that. He didn't want her to be set up with anyone at all. No in the room wanted that to happen at all.

"Kate are you home yet?" she heard Catherine's worried voice and the amusement left her face as she worried about what could have her friend so worried.

"No, I'm still at the studio's why?" Kate asked her as she heard her panting a little. She could imagine her trying to run with her bump. "What's going on?" Kate asked her best friend.

"Philip he had a small heart attack. We're all being called to BP. Maria has the day off and is visiting some family, seeing as we wanted the weekend to ourselves before we left." Catherine told her as Kate headed for a corner in the room.

"Is he?" she immediately asked with worry. she'd only seen him that morning, joking and laughing, being his usual self. "No, they got him back. It's just procedure that we all go to BP and be there for the Queen, just in case. I don't want the kids there though. It'll be a mess of running and emotions." Catherine told her and Kate couldn't help but agree to that.

"You want me to come and pick them up?" Kate asked her as she watched Arthur sitting beside Glen as he showed him how to play the piano. it thawed her heart seeing the small father-son moment.

"The studio is on the way to BP, right?" Catherine asked as Kate confirmed that it was on the road to BP. "Can we drop them off? I know you'll take good care of them." Catherine told her, knowing that they could always count on Kate if something happened. She'd been their friend for five years and she'd been there through so much. She really was the sister of her husband and brother in law they never had. She'd been there with Harry as he returned from war. She'd been there for them all on several occasions.

It wasn't the first time that Kate would be watching them. She saw them as her niece and nephew. They called her Aunty Kate. Arthur doing the same to Will, Harry and Kate. Meghan wasn't too far off as he warmed up to her a bit more.

She didn't even know how or when it happened that they were so to each other. "Sure. You coming inside?" Kate asked her as Catherine told her she would walk them in and give her the extra car seat for Charlotte.

Deciding not to say anything to anyone just yet. Kate tried to think of something she could do to distract the kids from what would surely become a messy and emotional day. The museum and going around there was always a good idea. But today wouldn't be the best idea since Dippy was being packed up and people would be running around backstage for that. She'd have to figure out something else.

It wasn't that long before the door opened: Kate, Will, George and Charlotte walking in. George running up to her. "Aunty Kate." he grinned as he gave her a hug and she gave him a kiss on the cheek. "Thanks for doing this, I just don't know who else to call right now." Catherine told her as she handed her daughter over to her husband. "don't worry about it, You've watched Arthur countless times for me as well." she reassured her as she gave them both a small smile. Seeing that Catherine was close to tears, she understood why. She'd met Philip so many times as well, he was the soul of the family. The joker, he always knew how to make everyone laugh. Sure there were others such as Harry, but there was no one who could replace Philip. Kate already being emotional by her pregnancy and the Scandinavian tour they left on in two days.
