When Draco walked into his dorm room he was surprised to find Harry; who was pacing around the floor.

"What am I going to tell him?" Harry muttered to himself. "How am I going to tell him? Maybe I could...No, that won't work. Perhaps if I....No, that's just stupid. Come on, Harry....Think!"

"Harry?" Draco called out to his troubled friend.

Harry stopped dead in his tracks when Draco's voice hit his ears.

"Draco!" Harry said, surprised to see him standing in the doorway. "What are you doing here?"

"Well, I do live here for the time being." Draco reminded him with a smug grin.

"That's not what I meant." Harry sighed. "I meant what are you doing here right now?"

"Well, Pansy thought I should take a break before my next class." Draco explained. "So I am. What are you doing here, Harry?"

"I was looking for you, actually." Harry admitted. "I was hoping to talk to you about something..."

"Really?" Draco asked. "Well, I actually needed to talk to you about something as well."

"Really?" Harry looked at him with a slight blush on his cheeks.

"Yeah. But, you first." Draco insisted.

"Well, ok then..." Harry took a deep breath, carefully choosing his words. "I have been having certain thoughts about you lately....But, I didn't really know what they meant. At first, I thought I just was feeling protective over you because you were my friend. However, after talking it over with Hermione, I realized that I, well, I kind of, sort of, like you. And I don't mean as just a friend. Know what I mean?" Harry looked away from him as his blush grew darker. This was perhaps the toughest thing he ever had to do since his first year at Hogwarts.

Draco said nothing at first. He just stood there dumbfounded. Harry Potter, the Harry Potter, just confessed his love to the young Malfoy.

Taking a deep breath, Draco walked over to his roommate and placed a hand on his shoulder.

Harry looked up at him and saw a sight that surprised him. Draco looked as if he were about to cry.

"It's ok, Harry." Draco assured him. "I know exactly how you feel."

"What do you mean?" Harry asked, a little hopeful.

"I mean I like you too." Draco whispered, smiling down at him.

Harry didn't say anything as he smiled and embraced Draco warmly.

"Thank god." He sighed. "You have no idea how scary that was."

"Trust me, I think I do." Draco joked. The two of them stayed like that for a few minutes until Draco broke the silence. "So, you really like me?"

"Yeah." Harry admitted. "I really do. It's just a shame that it won't work between us..." He sighed and released Draco before sitting down on the bed.

"What do you mean?" Draco asked, joining him.

"I mean, maybe it could if you weren't a Death Eater." He took Draco's arm and pulled down his sleeve to reveal his mark.

"That doesn't really matter to you, does it?" Draco wondered, moving his arm away.

"Well, no..." Harry  told him. "But there is also the fact that I'm The Chosen One." He pushed back his hair to reveal his lightening bolt scar.

"Do you honestly think I care about that?" Draco questioned. "Harry, I love you for who you are. Not what you are."

"I know." Harry assured him. "However there's still your father who hates my guts."

"You aren't really scared of my father are you?" Draco asked.

"No." Harry admitted. "But I am pretty scared of you."

"Well, don't be." Draco told him. "The last thing I want to do is scare you." He placed his hand on Harry's and intertwined their fingers.

"In that case," Harry took a deep breath before continuing. "Would you consider, maybe, possibly, being with me? As more than a friend?"

"I would be honored to be yours." Draco smiled. "On one condition. My father must never find out about this. Deal?"

"Don't worry." Harry assured him. "I wouldn't tell him anyways. Like I would tell him that his son was dating the man his boss wants dead."

Draco couldn't help but laugh at that. The sudden action causing Harry to jump a bit.

"Wow, Draco. I don't think I've ever heard you laugh before."

"Sorry." Draco apologized. "I'm just happy. I get to be with you. Possibly forever."

Harry couldn't help but smile at that.

"Now come on." Draco said, getting up. "We don't want to be late for our next class."

"Right." Harry agreed.

Hand in hand the two of them walked out of the room together; each one happy to have found the other.
