Zareen do you remember that summer night, when we thought we could win over the train beside us. So we ran until we couldn't breathe anymore?

It was like the stars that were above our heads shined just for us.

Do you remember the falling snow outside the cafeteria? The snowflakes reminded me of cherry blossoms; when they let go of the tree branches and swirl along with the wind until they reach the ground.

I wonder if you remember when I gave you a ride on my bike that spring evening in April. When your heart suddenly bursted. I could feel your tears on my back.

You had gripped my shirt with your hands (bony and dry.) I could not ask you the reason for your tears.

Do you remember the familiar scenery and the meaningless conversations?

Of course you do not remember.

You are dead.

I remember.
