Modern AU

James's POV

"We'll meet again, don't know where, don't know wheen!!"

I sighed. Thomas was drunk. Why else would he be singing terrible karaoke with Alexander Hamilton, his worst enemy?

It had taken Thomas an hour of convincing to get me to come to the party.

"It'll be fun!" He said.

His idea of fun is very different from mine.

"But I know we'll meet again some sunny day!"

With that, Thomas stumbled drunkenly off the stage.

I walked over to him.

"Come on, time to go home." I said.

"Why *hic* Jemmy?"

I sighed. "Because you're drunk out of your mind, that's why."

"I'm not *hic* drunk Jemmy!"

"Of course you aren't." I said rolling my eyes.

By now we were in my car. Thomas was in the backseat. I put my key in the ignition and started the car.

"Hey Jemmy?"

"Yeah babe?"

"Why can't I *hic* drive?"

I sighed "Because, you're drunk, and it's my car, not yours"

Thomas looked thoughtful for a minute.

"Oohhh" He said, looking like the secrets of the universe had been revealed to him.

We drove in silence, except for Thomas's occasional random giggles.

Once we got to our apartment, I carried him into his room and laid him down in his bed.

As I was about to leave, he said something.

"Hey, *hic* Jemmy, can I tell you something?"

"Sure."

I walked over to his bed. He leaned forward and whispered in my ear;

"I love you Jemmy"

He the passed out.

I smiled and kissed his forehead.

"I love you too Thomas, I love you too."
