Still, he didn't exactly like her being alone.
"Xukun," Yanjun said glancing at him in the rear view mirror. The popular boy looked up from his phone, confused for a moment. "Stay beside Crimson for me."
"Why?"
"Be-"
"Cause he doesn't want other men flirting with her," Zhangjing cut in with a grin. Yanjun sent the older yet mentally younger boy a glare, but he didn't protest seeing that he was correct.
"Why don't you just stand by her yourself," Ziyi asked leaning his head on the window.
"Are you not paying attention? This is how the game works. Yanjun gets mad and Scarlett plays it cool and acts like she doesn't care, but really she does," Zhangjing said turning in his seat to look at the oblivious one. "You obviously wouldn't be able to keep up with the Kardashians."
.
.
.
"What?"
"Anyways," Yanjun said changing the subject. "Xukun, stay beside Crimson for me. We all know she's bound to get in some trouble."

Xukun did as Yanjun basically ordered, but not just for him. He too, didn't want anything to happen to the girl so he walked with her inside and sat down beside her.
As soon as they got into the restaurant, Yanjun quickly noticed men ogling the girl. Although he couldn't blame them and he knew they would, he didn't like it.
He saw as some of the waiters got nervous when speaking to her or just approaching her. She didn't seem to notice, but when Yanjun looked at her he noticed how straight she sat and how neutral her expressions were. It was kind of as if she were a robot.
Almost as soon as everyone was comfortable, Mrs. Huang asked the group questions about school. It seemed like innocent conversation until Mr. Huang spoke up.
"How about you, Xiulan. How's business class," Mr. Huang asked Scarlett. Her eyes met her father's with all seriousness written on her face. It was like she was wearing a mask. A new mask that none of them ever seen before. It was like tonight Scarlett was a whole different person. Her look, the way she carried herself, and the way she talked.
"It's going fine, Father. I wasn't able to take more business courses due to the late registration, but I'm sure I'll have my needed classes next semester," Scarlett replied with poise.
"See to it that you get those classes. If not we'll just have to make sure you attend a different University. As well, I hope that you know that your position is only temporary. I don't want any distractions like I allowed the past couple years. We all know where that got you."
Well shit, Yanjun thought glancing to Mr. Huang. Scarlett did say she was distracted when they first met her, but they didn't think it effected her that much.
"Of course, Father. There won't be trouble," Scarlett answered in a monotonous, beside her, her mother grabbed her wrist and gave Scarlett a loving smile. Scarlett returned the smile, but Yanjun took note of how her eyes didn't light up as much as usual.
"Anyways," her mother said as if shooing away the tension. "It's Justin's birthday dinner so let's have a nice time, shall we?"
