Richelle's Pov
I couldn't believe it. I was...I was...I was about to have sex with a stranger. I'd practically just met him! But....none of that seemed to matter.

I'd just broken up with my boyfriend of two years after I found him cheating on me. I'd never felt so sad in all my life. In fact, I decided to go to a bar alone, to drink away my sorrows. It sounded stupid, yes, but I wasn't thinking straight.

I sat down at the stool, ordered my drink and as I was about to pay, someone slammed down a dollar bill onto the table.

"A pretty girl like you shouldn't be paying for your own drinks," a voice spoke as I tilted my head towards it. "This one's on me, Jeff."

A tall boy sat down next to me, his eyes almost twinkling and his smile looked like a typical 'guy' smile. I wasn't ready for another man in my life. Another man? I hadn't even spoken to him yet and all I was thinking about was dating him. But why else would he be talking to me?

"Thanks," I mumbled, a little unsure of what to say.

He chuckled, "bar virgin are ya?"

"What?" I asked, clearly this time, confused.

"You don't go to bars do ya? I can tell right off the bat," he smirked, pushing the drink towards me. "Go on."

I took a sip, the almost cherry like beverage exploded in my mouth, making me want it to last forever. But I only took one sip.

"Listen," I said sternly, "I'm not interested in having a boyfriend or anything, so just leave me alone okay?"

He looked at me, cocking one eyebrow; confused. I guessed he wasn't used to being rejected. But once again, he chuckled.

"Who said I wanted a girlfriend?"

I felt my cheeks redden a little. Crap. How could I recover this?

"Why else would you have bought me a drink?" I asked. Now I was cocking one eyebrow.

"Because you're pretty," he replied.

"Pretty?" I questioned, taking another sip.

"Pretty annoying," he turned away.

"Hey!" I raised my voice a little, slapping him on the shoulder.

"Okay, okay," he smirked, turning back, "I knew you were interested."

"Oh forget it," I stood up, about to grab my purse when he stopped me.

"Hey, hey," he began, genuinely looking a bit sad, "I'm sorry. Just stay for a while? Everyone else seems to be too drunk to talk to...."

I stared at the room full of drunken adults, stumbling around, hitting each other. I sighed.

"Okay."

His smile instantly regained its position. "So, how come you're here, alone?"

"Oh, you don't want to hear about my problems....I'm sorry what's your name?"

"Noah," he genuinely smiled, "yours?"

"Richelle."

"Cute. Come on, tell me your problems."

After explaining everything to him, we were managing to have an actual conversation, and the truth was, he was a nice guy. He told me about how he doesn't have any family, no job and no house. Well, he rented an apartment, but his rent was way past its due date. He was being evicted in the next few days. Honestly, I felt bad for him. I mean I had family that loved me, a good job and a house to call my own.
