Keeping this foreword short and sweet, seeing as I have a lot of writing to get to.
This originally began as a short story for my creative writing workshop in fiction, so I am working ontransferring it into a full-length novel. The chapters will be told in alternating perspectives between our main characters. You can refer to the headers for reference.
My intention with this story was to create a contemporary world with distinct characters that reflect my own personal struggles and dreams. While there's definitely a gloomy undertone embedded in the plotline itself, I always credit the relationships I'm hinting at and the personalities we encounter to Morgan Matsen, my favorite young-adult novelist that never fails to free me from a reading slump or a writer's block. The dullness of it all, well, that's thanks to Michelle Hodkin's Mara Dyer series.

I genuinely have no concrete plan for this story. One day, I'll probably regret that.
There will be a lot of edits and re-workings because I insist on making things just right in my eyes, so I can't help it.
I hope you'll be patient with me as we go, as I have a lot of aspirations for this piece that will come to fruition in time. Just know that my best work spawns with no constraints, no limitations, no pressure, so if it's taking a while, please know I'm trying.
