I woke up to the sound of police cars outside of my house. My bedroom door was locked. A few moments later someone started banging on the door. At the time I was 12, I was scared so I hid under the blanket. Hearing the door break open I screamed and began to shake. A tall man wearing a police uniform picked me up and rushed me out of the house. I kept my eyes shut the whole time.
Getting out of the house I screamed as I saw my mom, dad, and brother in stretchers.
"No! Let me go!" My eyes watered.
The police man hide my face in his shoulder and carried me to his car. He sat me in the front set and locked the car as he left. I tried not to look but I couldn't help myself. I wanted to know what was going on at the time. I wish I had not woken up that day... I could of been with them.
