When Avery got back to her room, she took a sharp turn heading towards her bed. Finally. As she sat down on her bed, a light caught her eye. It was her phone. The screen of it lit up as it received a new message and alerting her. She took her phone from the nightstand beside her phone and unlocked it revealing a message from her best friend.

Nash.

He was like a brother to her, she referred to him as my brother from another mother and father. They easily got a long since she's the One of the 'boys' type of woman but still elegant, charming, comely and described herself as a woman of class.

But compared to her biological brother which was named, Daniel. Sometimes, She thought that she liked Nash more than her own brother. He was a serious person but it was only because he didn't want her sister to take him as a joke. Daniel believed that if you want to get people to believe he would have to act like a person worthy of getting people convinced and it started with his approach and attitude. But the woman of class doesn't abide the a-hole next door, Alex Airen. She didn't really hate him but disliked what he does.

"A-hole." She muttered as the man next door came to her mind.

"The A-hole next door...would make a really great title for a book." She slightly laughed covering her mouth with her palm. "Well, if only I knew how to write a story." She stated, shaking her head.

Back to the message, She thought, pushing away the unpleasant thought.

Avery tapped on the screen of her phone and the message appeared. She started reading and quietly mumbling, "Verina, Tomorrow 4pm. I'll pick you up." She raised her eyebrow whilst reading the message. Indeed, Nash was a serious, clever, funny and brotherly-like type of man. But for a non-biological brother, he acted like an older one. The bossy type of one.

"It doesn't clearly mean that you're a businessman is that you'll treat me like your assistant." The young adult replied, surely she wasn't in the mood for his bossy attitude.

"I'm not. You're more than just an assistant. You're a premier assistant." He replied.

"Is that all you want to say?" She answered back. Closing her eyes and then dozed off. Leaving her phone on the palm of her hand as she laid on the bed.

The next day Avery woke up hearing the chirping of the birds and the soft wind hitting her face when she sat up, immediately seeing the window open.

Then she saw her lovely cat, Chloe short for Chloette. Her cat is an Egyptian Mau wearing a violet collar with a big heart pendant and Chloe's name engraved on it along with the owner's details on the back of the pendant in case she was afield from home. But for some reason Avery would always think about where she got Chloe. The curiosity sometimes overpowers her and debilitates her because it makes her feel clueless of things that happened to her before. It seems that she couldn't remember how she got Chloe.

She would sometimes ask her Aunt Julie but give no answer in reply or change the subject. So again, she got up and crept downstairs looking for her Aunt.

"Aunt Julie?" She called out, standing at the end of the staircase.

"I'm right here." Her Aunt answered, walking out of the kitchen for Avery to see her.

"What can I help you with dear?" Aunt Julie questioned, the 25 year-old woman standing in front of her.

"As you know or may not know. I, myself is very fond of writing books a-and I found myself few days ago writing a short story about...cats?" She immediately blurted out without thinking, mentally face palming but she did sound unsure of it.
