Grace's POV~
This was the lamest party ever.
Everyone just sat on their phones. No one talked or laughed.
It was dead silent.
I unwrapped Alex's arms from around me and walked over to the table where Austin was sitting (not because he was sitting there of course, it was just where the food was).
"Hey," I said, "sorry the party's a bust."
"Actually I'm having fun!" Austin said looking at who he was sitting with... Cam?
I was shocked
"I was actually enjoying talking Cam," he continued.
Cam blushed. What? The Cameron Jacobs? Blushing?
And did Austin say he was enjoying talking? I didn't realize he didn't really need help making friends. I wasn't jealous of course, but I just kinda thought he'd be hanging out with me... and Alex obviously.
"Hey I have an idea," I said loudly so that everyone in the basement could hear, "let's play truth or dare!"
Everyone agreed and gathered around the couch.
I sat down we're I was originally sitting and as soon as I sat down Alex wrapped his arms around me... again.
"Grace, since it was your idea," said Nick. He was always really loud and always felt it was his turn to talk, "why don't you go first."
"Actually," I replied, "I was thinking Austin could go first, since you know he doesn't know really anybody except me," I paused, "and Cameron."
I felt like I sounded annoyed when I said Cam's name, and I think she could tell because she just looked at me. She kinda looked scared if I'm honest.
"Okay," said Nick, turning to look at Austin, "Guess you're going first man."
"K," he said awkwardly. Aw... okay.
"Um Cam..."
I was kinda expecting him to pick me but it's fine.
"Truth or dare?"
"Truth," she giggled
Cam doesn't giggle.
"Okay um, how many boyfriends have you had in your life?"
What?
"Um 2," she answered, "one was from a different school and one was... Alex.
"Wait what?" I asked
I didn't know they dated.
Alex looked really uncomfortable. Why? I didn't care who he dated before me. I had no reason to be mad.
"When?" asked Leah.
"Um about 2 months ago."
I shut down. Alex and I have been dating for 3.
He cheated.
I looked at Alex. I could tell by the expression on his face that he was guilty.
"What is wrong with you!" I screamed.
I stormed out of the house.
Austin can rushing out.
"Hey," he said calmly. I could tell he was being extra careful not to make it worse. "Are you okay?"
"Take me home," I demanded, "please."
"Yeah of course."
We drove to my house in silence.
