* Quick note this is a Slam poem*
"You're a galaxy child"
That's what you said but as soon as the words left your lips
And I let myself believe them
You turned around and said that I did not matter
And the stars you had put in my eyes started to supernova as I thought i was not worth it
The planets you had created out of a single stone started to crumble into tears
That stream down my face that is red and burning as I struggle to breathe because I cannot see the bigger picture
I can only see the disappointment painted on your face
But there's nothing I can do to make it go away
So I go to my friends and tell them I hate you so that they can tell me that everything is alright and that you built these planets for a reason and the stars in my galaxy are reflective of yours that the balls of light that make up my eyes make yours light up
I tell them I hate you so they can rebuild the galaxy you broke down
By the words you did not mean but won't apologize for
So next time when the words start coming remember
I'm the galaxy you created
And only your words can truly make it fall apart
