Straightforward

"In a category of his own?" Taehyung shrugs as well, offering something potentially fitting.

"Yeah, it's different with him." Jimin nods quickly, smiling again a little sheepishly. He bites his bottom lip and exhales through his nose, letting the curve of his lips relax into a straight line. "I was wrong to leave him, too, but Tae-"

"Are you still fighting with him, or is everything better at least?" The younger can't bite his tongue and chooses to tap into a hopefully less triggering part of whatever situation his friends have been handling without them. He'd never seen Jimin and Jungkook argue so horrendously as they had the night of the sleepover. Emotions were much too heightened, not at all helped by the effects of ingested alcohol.

Jimin sighs, chewing again on his inner cheek. Memories of that night are hard to revisit, ever last one of them. "It's better." He says in confidence, proud of that at least. "It's different now, in a way. But, it's honest."

"Wasn't too much honesty the reason you two were arguing?" Taehyung's tone is sincere, soft and full of genuine concern. "I know it's a good thing to tell the truth, but it felt like we all shared a little too much that night." They had all shared too many things that night, and dug up raw emotions that shouldn't have been messed with so suddenly. It's chilling to think back on all of the things that were said, questions asked and curses made.

"I was the reason we fought so much during the truth or dare game. It wasn't honesty's fault, it was mine." Jimin says now without so much hesitation. He always feels as if he's racing against the thoughts he can feel creeping up behind the words that beg to slip through the tight line of his lips. His leg bounces as nerves raise the hair on his skin. "My lies made me go crazy. I was just losing my mind, Tae, lashing out at everyone for everything."

Taehyung purses his lips. "Yeah, I noticed that." He mutters, wincing at the memory.

Jimin curls up his fist, the one not squeezed around Taehyung's larger one, and raps it repeatedly against his bouncing knee. "It turned really bad, and I'm guilty of ruining your night. I'm sorry, seriously I am." The apology trickles out from the saddest portion of his heart, the part that carries regret for causing pain for his friend. Taehyung has always owned a soft spot in his heart, and every part of Jimin's being wants to protect the younger from anything and everything that could possibly hurt him. He hates himself for being the one to do damage. He wants to take it back, make the bad decision he made go away, but he can't.

The younger takes notice now of the change in his friends demeanor. It's stressed, nerves nearly jumping out of his skin. A terrible confession is working it's way up the older boys throat, ready to explode past his puffy lips. Taehyung feels his heart collapse, his breath halt. How can he possibly hear the truth when he's truthfully terrified of being right? He doesn't feel like he can hear what Jimin has to tell him. "It's okay, Jiminie. You don't have to explain yourself this much for me to know that you're still facing something enormous." It's such a lonely secret, the younger boy can only imagine. God, he was so cruel to Jimin. "It's hard to go through things alone, and if you were keeping it from all of us, even Jungkook, it explains your actions better than anything else could ever."

Jimin feels his heart swell up big, undeniably touched by the care of Taehyung's words. It's not like he couldn't foresee the youngers forgiveness, Taehyung being a pure soul made up of genuine and kind concern for the well being of others, but it warms his heart and fills it with love. "I don't know why the universe thinks I deserve such supportive people in my life, but thank you. I need you to know that I care about you. I love you, Tae."

Taehyung's lips curve up into a smile. He feels as if maybe the conversation will end on a lighter side of things. "I know that already. I know you care, probably more than you should."
