Music, Bullies and Understanding

I groggily opened my eyes. Monday already? I sighed. I changed in to my usual school uniform and my giant dorky glasses.

I went down stairs and made breakfast for me and my grandmother. I left the scrambled eggs and toast with orange juice on a tray by my grandmothers bed and ran out the door.

I made it into class with half an hour to go. I set up my science fair project. The diagram had taken me so long to make.

By the time I was finished, there was 10 minutes to go until the bell. Most of the students were here, but the teacher was still in the teachers lounge.

"Hey nerd!"

I turned around, suppressing a whimper.

There, I saw the most popular guys of my entire sophomore grade.

Gray Filibuster, second in command, Gajeel, Loke and the worst of them, Natsu Dragneel.

"What do you call that!?" Sneered Gajeel.

"M-my s-science fair project." I whispered.

"That piece of ****?" Scoffed Loke.

"That's pathetic." Hissed Gray.

"Oh whoops," called out Natsu. "I tripped!" and purposefully brought both his fists down on my project.

"Stop!" I cried.

Then I felt the cold paint I was using for my diagram, pour down my head.

'BRIIIIIIIIIING!'

The bell rang and all the students ran to their desks, leaving me on my knees on the ground as the teacher walked in.

"Lucy?" Asked Ms Charle. A kind woman with lovely pale skin and pale pinkish white hair. "What happened?"

She knew that the boys always bullied me, but she had no proof to tell Principal Makarov.

I was on the ground with my destroyed science project, with blue paint in my hair.

"I'm fine." I squeaked. Then I sprinted into the girls locker room.
