Danny's POV 

The moon goddess must be doing this to punish me more for what happened to Sacha. I couldn't erase from my mind the red-haired girl's expression when I told her that I rejected her.

Her violet eyes were full of hurt and confusion. I can't help but feel the need to run to her, to kiss those lips that looked so irresistible.

I felt myself get hard at the thought of that, a feeling that I never thought I would feel again. I felt myself get angry when I realized what's happening to the poor girl.

She had to be stuck having feelings for someone like me. This only cause me to hate myself more, the fact that she will have to suffer because of having a mate who was emotionally-closed off, broken, and dead.

The moon goddess sure has a way of making one pay for their mistakes. When I arrived back, I saw Emilio standing before the door. I went to walk in but he stood in front of me.

"Daniel, we need to talk" he said but I just glared at him and went to enter again but again he blocked me. "Daniel, I know you can beat me, but its important we talk" he said

As much as I knew that I could easily beat him but I was too drained from my run, and I knew surely he wasn't going to move unless he had his way.

I turned around and walked down the walkway to the black painted fence. I could hear his footsteps behind me.

"It will be best if you-"

"We all know I'm not going to follow orders" I said with a smile, cutting him off. I turned to look at him and he had a grave expression in his face.

"His hands are not going to tremble in killing you" he said and suddenly something hit me. "Is he protecting someone?" I said feeling anger flowing through me.

I looked at Emilio and his face gave me no emotions which told me that I was right. "who?" I asked and I watched as the car pulled up and the driver got out to open for the King who acknowledged us and sent me a glare.

I din't care if he was going to kill me for disobeying orders but before he could, I'm already going to have my revenge.

Victoria's POV

When I've arrived I saw my people running out the small gate. I saw a mother with three children arms trying to protect them from the smoke. 

I saw a man crying because his mate was stuck in their house. I ran in his direction. "Joshua!-"

"Help!!, Alpha Rodriguez, my mate is in their and Corey's trying to get to her, he hasn't come out in 5 minutes"

"It'll be fine" I said giving him my most reassuring smile even though, I myself wasn't even sure if it was a lie or not.

"If he's not out in 30 seconds, I will enter myself, it doesn't matter if I die, if she dies, my life will no longer make sense" he said tears now falling down his face.

I looked to see Corey now sprinting out the house, Joshua's mate unconscious in his arms. Joshua ran to meet them and I followed. "Joshua, take her far from here, she's fine" I tried telling him and he nods his head then ran out the now almost empty gate.
