Chapter 7

"But, we need a distraction.." I retort, Itame and Kitoro nod, then turn to look at me.

"N-nandayo!?! Why me!?!"

"Kayoko-sensei is probably going to try to pick us off one by one, she won't attack if we're all together, If we send just you out, it'll lure us out in order to be able to attack."

"Hmpf! Fine, but If I get killed then you have a lawsuit on your hands."

"Corpses can't sue." Kitoro smirks with a small shrug.

Normally i'd be pissed at that statement, but It's amazing to see Kitoro joke around once and a while. "Fair." I giggle.

I drag my hand down my face. 'Can not believe I agreed to this. Rest in Peace Minako Haruno, she trusted her teamates.'

"About damn time, I thought you guys ran away." I turn to see sensei leaned up against a tree.

"HA! As if I'd let you scare me." I smirk cracking my knuckles.  She gives an amused smile and straightens her posture.

I quickly tie my hair up so it's out of my face, and get into a stance.

Knowing that all i'm doing is keeping her occupied, I strike first, aiming at her abdomen.

She goes to dodge but finds herself unable due to the fact that her legs were wrapped with vines. My fist comes in contact with her stomach and she's flown back. I gaze at her body, only to realize that it was now a log. 

I grumble underneath my breath, as Itame and Kitoro run to my side.

"Nice strategy KITORO." I scofff

"Shut UP, I tried!" He crosses his arms.

Behind us, I hear a sinister laugh, and  Sensei is behind us with a glare in her eyes. "You sure can pack a punch Minako."

She charges at us, and Kitoro wraps his arms defensively around me. "Itame now!"

An ice dome surrounds us and Sensei growls in irritation.  Kitoro chuckles with his arm stil wrapped around my waist.

'RED FLAG! PHYSICAL CONTACT! RED FLAG!!!!' "Um, Kitoro, d-do you mind letting go?"

Kitoro stays silent and mumbles a quiet yes.

"Hey! You two! am I gonna do this ALL by MYSELF!! You can help too! And also, LET GO OF MY GIRL MAN!!" Itame shouts from the other end of the dome.

I spring up with my face red. "YOUR GIRL!!? I BELONG TO NO ONE!! IF I DID, IT'D BE Nnnnnnnn-hahahahaha-nevermind."

"Lets just do this." Kitoro sighs and we start running around the dome. Kitoro once again uses vines to hold down sensei.

We run around the dome, and as predicted, Sensei looks confused.

Kitoro chuckles and the vines crawl up the rest of sensei's body. She mumbles a silent 'Shit'

"Go Itame!" I instruct. He dashes towards sensei.

'He's so fast!'

His hand grasped for the bells

 'RING!! RING!!!'

"OH COME ON!!!"

"mY HoPEs AnD DrEaMs." Itame wheezed on the ground.

I grumbled knowing that now i'd have to wait to help Naruto among his path to being Hokage.

A bento is placed in front of my face. I look up at sensei and raise an eye brow.

"Eat up." She smiles.

"Why?"

"So we can be strong as a team!" She pumped her fist in the air

"But we failed.." Itame looked down.

She sat on the ground and patted his head.

"You may have failed to get the bells, but you have not failed as a team. I was sure I mentioned the point of this exercise was to test your teamwork. Not once did you guys abandon each other. You saw yourselves as equals. Now don't get the wrong idea, there are definitely people who are stronger than you guys. But you put your differences aside, and were able to create a good strategy."

"So that.. means.." Kitoro mumbled.

"Welcome to team 3!"
