I turned to face the window, I could see a second doctor enter the small office, They shook hands and started speaking.

I fixed my posture.

"Get in, you Freak," I heard from the other side of the door

I turned my attention to the door to see a cloaked figure being pushed in by a metal pole, The latch undid itself and let go, the door instantly closed. They walked in, not removing their eyes from me, Then again I did the same.

049

He sat down next to me, "Nice to meet you," I offered a handshake

He was hesitant, "Its fine, I'm not human,"

He shook my hand, He had a firm grip, He then took my hand to under his mask, signifying a kiss. I placed a smile on my mask. We let go.

"It is a pleasure to meet you too," He spoke, He had a thick English accent, "It's very rare I meet an SCP, let alone a Female like you,"

"Well, at least you have met other SCPs," I responded, "Anyways, I'm 4906 or (N/N),"

"I'm 049 or The Plague Doctor," He said

"Can I call you Doc for Short?" I asked

"Of course," He responded, "I would be delighted,"

'He seems too nice,' I thought

He turned his whole body to face me while still sitting on the couch. I turned my full attention to him, "So, What are your Interests?"

"Um... I guess I like learning about the SCPs," I responded

"What else?" The questioned

"Um... Does medical stuff count?" I asked

"Of course," He responded

"Well, Tell me about your self," I said innocently

"Well as you know I'm a doctor and my job is to rid the world of the parasite, What else is there to say?" He responded

"How about the fact that in your files it says you rarely talk but here your talking like there is no tomorrow," I pointed out

"Well as I said, It's not very often I meet an SCP, Let alone like Female like you, I guess it feels like there is no tomorrow here," He explained

I nodded, "Could you tell me about the Great Plague? I've heard of it but I have not really learned about it,"

"Ah yes, That was a great time for me, No one refected my cure and everyone wanted it, Then again, that's not what you wanted to hear," He paused for a moment, " It began in London in the poor, overcrowded parish of St. Giles-in-the-Field. It started slowly at first but It grew quickly. Incubation took a mere four to six days and when the plague appeared in a household, the house was sealed, thus condemning the whole family to death. These houses were distinguished by a painted red cross on the door and the words, 'Lord have mercy on us'. At night the corpses were brought out in answer to the cry,' Bring out your dead', put in a cart and taken away to the One called the Great Pit was at Aldgate in London and another at Finsbury Fields.  It was believed that holding a posy of flowers to the nose kept away the plague,"

"And that's why you wear the mask," I chirped in happily

"Well, for them, yes, for me, not as much," He responded

"Then why do you wear it?" I asked, "You don't have to answer if you don't want to,"

"It's practically my face, I never take it off, Like you and that mask of yours," He said, poking my mask on the forehead

"Don't touch the mask," I said sharply

He cleared his throat then started humming while looking through the books

"I know that song, Its Ring a ring of roses," I said

"Ah yes, It describes the Plague," He said

"Ring a Ring of roses," I said

"A pocket full of poses," He said showing me a page in a book full of herbs, commonly used for a cure

"Atishoo, Atishoo," I said, He showed me a page of the symptoms, sneezing

"We All Fall Down," He finished, I knew what that line meant

"But this dates to The Victorian times, No the time of the plague," I said

"Well noticed, But I still keep it in my head, to remember," He responded

I peeked over his shoulder to see what he was looking at, It was a plague doctor but it didn't look like him, This one was fatter, had a hat on and held a stick.

"I prefer your look," I said, moving back to my spot

He went silent for a minute, then spoke up, "Thank you,"

"For what?" I asked looking at him

"First of all, For the compliment, and second of all, For This great day," He responded

"Don't tell me it's time," I said

"Well I hope not, but this is the Best day I've had in ages, and I mean ages," He said placing the book in the middle so we both could see

"Same here," I spoke, reading the book was more interesting when you had an expert with you

"Ok you Two, That's time," The speaker buzzed out

I placed a frown on my face

"049, against the wall," A guard spoke

"I hope to see you again," He said placing the book down and going to the wall

"Me Too!" I shouted being transported out by guards

I changed my mask to blank

"I can walk on my own," I said to the guard lifting me out

They scoffed before looking for some restraints, "Where are this SCPs restraints!?"

"She doesn't have any," My Doctor said walking over, "Place her down, I'll take her from here,"

 I was placed down.

"Let's go," My doctor said

I followed behind my Doctor as the guards followed.

"Couldn't we stay a bit longer?" I asked

"Nope, We gave you extended time already," They said

"How about tomorrow?" I asked

"No, you have 4906-d," The Doctor said

"Anything but her!" I exclaimed

"Whats wrong with her?" They asked

"She tries to kill me!" I explained

"How?" They asked

"She melts and evaporated my Ice," I said

"What about If I skip tomorrows meeting with 4906-d?" They asked

"Please," I said

"I'll see wh--"
