"Maybe,"

Said Jughead Jones. Suddenly, a tear rolled down Veronica's face. "Hey, what's wrong?" He asked Veronica. "It's just that, you know, at least Betty likes you," she said.

"This is about Archie, isn't it?" he said. Veronica nodded her head in disappointment. "Look, Veronica, sister, or whatever I'm supposed to call you— who cares if Archie doesn't like you? There are tons of guys out there!" Said Jughead in an attempt to make her feel better.

"I care Jughead! Ever since I have been here, I've liked Archie. We even kissed in the closet in that little afterparty Cheryl had! I thought we had something special, Jughead. But of course, I should have known better," she said, more tears threatening to spill from her eyes.

"You mean you should have known that my bestfriend's a player? Or, as you guys put it to words, a fuckboy?" he mumbled, a smile on his face. This made Veronica laugh. "And, also, for the record, just call me Veronica. It's not like your my real brother anyway," she laughed again.

It was the hot, sizzling, Monday afternoon, and Veronica could get a clear view of the coolness Pop's had to offer. She walked in, and took a seat on one of the vinyl booths.

"What would you like?" said a waitress. "A chocolate milkshake please. With some onion rings too." she said and the waitress nodded, walking back to the kitchen.

Veronica could remember the first time she had heard of —and been addicted to— the onion rings they served here. Her memory only brought her tears.

One year ago...

"Hey, are the onion rings here good?" Veronica asked the new friends she had made here in Riverdale. The first of many, she thought. "They're good. Great," said the red-headed boy in front of her, who was sitting across the beautiful blonde. "Onion rings too, please," she said to the brown man who nodded and headed to the kitchen.

"I'm Veronica by the way, Veronica Lodge." when she said her name, she saw a sparkle ignite in the red-head's eyes. "I'm Archie—Andrews, and this is Betty. Betty Cooper," he said, Veronica turning to look at the blonde who had been giving her looks of disdain. "Wait, are you—"

"Supposed to give you your tour tommorow? Yes." she cut her off and plastered a fake smile on her face. "Hey, why won't you join us?" said Archie, who smiled. "I would love to but my mom's waiting in the car," she said. "To be continued though," were Veronica's last words before she was handed a doggy bag and walked out of the store.

"You were saying?" heard Veronica, who decided to eavesdrop on their conversation. "Nothing," said Betty.

Flashback over~

She turned into tears embarrassingly quickly.
