"that's the baby's heartbeat, everything sounds completely normal. would you like to know the gender?" The doctor asked while wiping off the liquid on the belly
"uh no" I answered
"okay if you'd like to know at a later time just ask. and here's a picture...would you still like to do the paternity test?"

"y-yes" I said as I stared at the picture
"I must warn you paternity tests during pregnancy could increase the risk of a miscarriage. so which one of you will be tested?" She asked looking in between Zion and I
"both of us..."
"oh. okay, I'll need to draw some blood from the both of you then as well as the mother. I'll be right back"
She took off her mask then walked out of the room leaving us alone. Zion took a seat next to the door and pulled out his phone. He's made it clear that he wants no part of this for good reason but I wish he'd make light of the situation. It makes me wonder how he'd act if I were to get pregnant—I mean if it were even possible.
"it's so weird having someone inside me" Kendra said as she sat up on the examining table
"well you agreed to do it for what ever reason" Zion commented
"excuse him, he's—"
"it's fine" She smiled
Ever since Dylan dumped Kendra at our apartment this morning he's been acting grumpy. I don't blame him, I'm also mad that Dylan did this to us but taking it out on her isn't gonna help.
"how'd you meet Joshua anyways?"I asked
"I was in need of some money so I started looking for some jobs. I came across this which I normally wouldn't do but I was gonna get paid $100,000 just to carry a baby for 9 months so there wasn't really an option"
"100k?" I asked
"yeah, he's paying me in installments, I got the first $25,000 when they inseminated me and I should be getting the next in a couple of weeks" She explained
