Did y'all miss me?

I laid down at the foot of Phil's bed at his feet while he scrolled through websites on his laptop. We weren't getting work done on the project any time soon, not like we would have even without that fiasco. I decided to text Webcam Boy to see what he was up to.

The bed shook a little when I sent that, as if someone had been jumpscared. "You okay Phil?" I asked.

"Yeah! just a game..." He replied, non-convincingly. I rolled my eyes and saw Webcam Boy had messaged me back.

I shut off my phone and turned to Phil who was still on his laptop. He had the weirdest of habits like tugging on his choker, chewing the skin off his lip, and curling his toes for no apparent reason. It was about thirty minutes since we properly talked last so I decided to speak up.

"Hey," I said boringly. I didn't know where I'd bring the conversation from here but I rolled with it.

"Need something?" He asked politely.

"Food would be nice..." I replied, almost drooling. I hadn't eaten all day something, anything, would be good right now.

"I have like, 15 pounds. There's an ice cream place nearby, wanna walk to it?" Phil offered.

"Awh fuck yeah, let's motor." I said, pulling on my jacket while standing up. Phil put his laptop aside and walked to the door, waiting for me to follow up.

~Timeskip~

It was pretty sunny outside, making me half regret wearing a jacket. I tied it up around my waist and smiled.
"Lovely weather we're having," I said, trying to start up conversation.

"Oh Dan, we're not American silly," Phil chuckled, "We don't just talk about the weather, we complain about it." He corrected. I snapped my fingers jokingly.

"Right, right."

We had gotten a few blocks until I realized Phil had fallen behind. I turned around to see him knelt down to a small brown rabbit.
"Hi lil guy..." Phil cooed, wrapping his hands around its small body to pick it up.

"Phillll, that probably has some kind of disease on it. Set it down." I said, giggling over my words. He frowned jokingly and set it down. It scurried off into a nearby bush as Phil waved goodbye. "We should raise a rabbit together,"

"Hah, we can't even take care of ourselves, nonetheless an animal." I said as he caught up to me.

"Please? But they're so cute! How could you say no!" He jokingly begged, grabbing on my sleeve. I rolled my eyes and pushed him off, chuckling.

"I'm glad I'm here to rationalize you."

After ordering our frozen treats from the food-truck like van, we sat at a red plastic table with an umbrella in the middle. I unwrapped my icecream cookie sandwhich and sunk my teeth into it, savoring the taste. "Oh my god I'm gonna have an orgasm," I said, fake moaning with my mouth full. Phil shoved me from across the table.

"Oh my god, Dan, we're in public you idiot." He snickered, almost dropping his orangesicle icecream. God his laugh made me feel weak. When I looked in his eyes, I saw a broken boy, and god I was so intrigued by it.

I guess I have two crushes now...
