Chapter 10

"Hey babe im leaving." I said kissing Justin on the cheek

Him and Alfredo were sitting at the counter eating, he turned and grabbed my waist pulling me closer.

"Justin I have to go." I said but he didnt budge

"Babe are you sure this is just a checkup?" He hesitated

I sighed and looked down "Justin I-" I looked at him "Ill tell you when I get back okay?"

He stared at me for a while before letting his hands fall from my waist, he kissed me before turning back around and continuing to eat.

I could tell he was nervous, I was to. I didnt know what to expect, the doctor called me the other day with news but wanted to tell me in person. I got into the car and began driving to the doctors office.

I pulled into a empty spot and killed the car, I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. I whispered a quick prayer before getting out of the car and going inside.

"Good morning Mrs.Braun." The receptionist said

"Morning." I said softly with a smile

"Dr.Ashley will be right with you, just take a seat." She smiled and I nodded

I sat down and glanced at my phone, I chewed nervously on my nails and my knee bounced rapidly. I thought of Justin and how worried he might be, I hadnt told him the news that I found out a couple months back just because I didnt think it was a good time.

He wanted something so very badly and I couldnt give it to him, ive been going to the doctors every month to try and correct the problem. Hopefully thats why Dr.Ashley called me here.

"Chelsea." I looked up and Dr.Ashley was smiling down at me

"Dr.Ashley!" I smiled and hugged her

"Cmon back to a room." She led me down a hallway to a examination room

I sat down on the bed and she pulled out a stool and took a seat on it, she looked down at some papers and looked back up at me.

"Chelsea I have some news.."

Justins POV

"Dude im sure shes fine." Alfredo said

"You dont know that!" I yelled and continued to pace

"Justin," He put his hands on my shoulder "Stop pacing, and stop panicking please." He sat down on the couch

"I cant, okay!" I yelled running my fingers through my hair "Look last time this happened I found out she had Leukemia, that cant happen again." I teared up at the thought

"Justin im sure if her Leukemia was back we could tell, I mean last time she constantly threw up and looked like hell." He assured me

"Yea your probably right." I sat down and rubbed my face with my hands

I sighed and laid back on the couch, I tried to avert my thoughts to something else but I couldnt she was all I could think about. I got up and began to pace again, I heard Alfredo groan again.

I texted her and asked how it was going, once again I got no response.

"What if shes not at the doctors." I said and Alfredo laughed

"Now your just being stupid." He raised a eyebrow at me

"Sit the hell down, she will be back when shes done Justin." He said flipping through the channels

"So your not worried?" I looked at him

"No, if there was something wrong you wouldve obviously known." He looked at me

I went in the kitchen and grabbed a beer, I opened it and took a large drink before going back to the living room. I set my beer on the coffee table and sat down, Alfredo looked over at me and sighed.

"Dude you gotta stop freaking out." He said sitting up

"I cant." I got up and grabbed my jacket

"Where are you going?" He asked

"For a walk." I said before walking out the door

I walked around the house to the backyard I looked into the woods before trudging in. Leaves and sticks crunched under my feet as a I walked. I tried to clear my mind but it was no use. My thoughts still reverted back to her, and why she wasnt back.

I sat on a rock near a stream and just thought, I thought about the future. I wanted kids, I needed kids. I cant wait for the day to hold them in my arms, or the day I go to their hockey games.

Just the thought of having kids with Chelsea made my life worth it, it made being with her that much more special. I watched as the sun set over the horizon of trees, I sighed and pushed myself off the rock before walking back the way I came.

I walked around the house and saw Chelseas car parked in the driveway, I ran in the house and saw her hugging Alfredo. She looked at me and opened her mouth to say something.

"Justin I- I have something to tell you."
