joshua / lessons

you walk into the cold, empty practice room where your guitar tutoring session usually takes place in. you lay your guitar gently on the wooden floor and take a seat. 10:15. joshua's usually not late, but you didn't mind. you pull out your phone from your pocket and try to waste time by scrolling through instagram. you suddenly hear a voice and the door opens.

"yikes. sorry i'm late. i needed to run some errands," joshua says. you nod, not really caring. you get your guitar out and look at him, confused.

"uh, joshua? where's your guitar?" you ask. he looks around frantically, searching for his beloved instrument. you hear him mutter a curse and look at you apologetically.

"aish! seems like i forgot it today," he scratches his nape out of awkwardness. "i can still teach you, although i have to use your guitar. if that's alright." he offers. you notice his cheeks have a slight tinge of pink when he said it. and you also noticed that you did too. only because he pointed it out.

"ah, i-it's because i-uh... ah! i ran all the way here, because i thought i was gonna be late. i know how you hate tardiness," you blush an even deeper colour of crimson ㅡ if that was even possible. he chuckles and gives you a look which says "right. sure."

"shall we start?" you nod and put your fingers on the frets of the guitar. he does the same, your hands overlapping. you sneak a glace at him and see that his cheeks turned from a pink to a red colour. you look away immediately and carry on with the lesson, enjoying his soft hands on yours.

after the lesson, you return your guitar to your case and carry it on your back. you stroll over the the exit when a hand grabs your wrist.

"y/n! wait. do you wanna get lunch sometime?" he asks shyly, tilting his head down in embarrassment. you grin and you hug him.

"of course! are you asking me out on a date, joshua hong?"

"yeah. yeah, i am,"
