Detention. Never a fun way to start spring. Sure it had become a regular occurrence for the five of us, but never for something this bad. It had all happened during the fifth period, and this event most likely won't ever be lived down.

Sure we all served our detention like we were supposed to, but one of us skipped school today so he could drive us home. See, we all had been planning this since I was in eighth grade.

"Mikey, hurry the fuck up" My older brother Gerard, barked at me. As per usual I had gotten lost in my own thoughts and fallen behind the group. One of the shorter boys I didn't know too well turned around to try and talk to me. His presence instantly made me uncomfortable, and I began to scuff my feet on the linoleum flooring. The sound of my dirty old sneakers squeaking on the floor echoed off the metal lockers making an odd humming sound.

This only seemed to make my brother angry. He almost seemed to growl under his breath, and I feared for my life momentarily. Gee Bear isn't usually like this. I know it. He's usually a sweet teddy bear until one of his genius plans goes wrong. You'll never guess what happened today.

The truck was parked in the very last spot, in the very back corner. Ray usually did that for us when he stole his Dad's truck to pick us up. See, even though he's nineteen he still doesn't have his official driver's license. Our group hopped into our respective seats; Bob upfront with Ray, Gerard at the window and a shorter boy in the middle. Of course, a five seated truck and six people made for an awkward ride. Due to my size, me and the two other smaller boys could all fit on the two given seats. Sure it wasn't a comfortable fit, but it'd do for the ten-mile drive to Ray's house.

Killing the ignition and unbuckling his seat belt, Ray began to hum a tune. One by one, each of us got out of the vehicle and tread up the gravel. Six pairs of feet all walking to the same destination. The woods behind Ray's house had always been a sort of a secret hideout for us over the years. Recently, the newcomers had been hanging around us more and more. I still hadn't bothered to learn much about either of them though.

We arrived at the little clearing in the center of the woods that we always went to, and began to tell Ray about the school day.
